rachel , many are of non verbal for things that has not any or much to do with

their own voice tones, and also that when one hums or makes a static noise it

scientifically alters the ears so that sounds is becomes more minimal thus the

much much autistic hummers, and odd noise makers.

and those who are of loud speakers are of also trying to speak over the back

ground noise that is of just as loud and overwhelming as the voices of others.

some are of non verbal because of the barrier of transfering thought or thinking

to words even for self can type and use words but if go ourside of scripted

words and or asked of something unexpectedly and or expected to respond

spontaneously it cause a break if you will in the transfer of my thinking to

words and thus this disconnected appearance of strands of words that makes of me

seem more psychotic at times and or like a person of dyslexic but in spoken

variations. I to also have much issues to word retrieval and recall when trying

to use of spoken words. I to be fo do that mix up often too, and one young man

who is of low verbal is of this such as when i to came to visit of hims he

shared " bye bye. you go. me. ice cream. drive " >>>>> he was asking if I can be

of to take him for ice cream. another example of a child who might have wanted

of ice cream...... " may go into a script of a visual from TV that they saw in

regards to a ice cream that seems so very disconnected because of the only

association they have is of that commercial that went in as a way to communicate

of that idea of wanting an ice cream an example was the cheese commercial of how

they now had shredded cheese in a zip lock sort of bag but the commercial

focused and use the jingle of " Zip It " as a child for self would have associated

the word for cheese as a " Zip It " and would be of overly frustrated because it

was associated wrong but for me thinking it was of right , but no one would

understand my attempts for requesting cheese...

such as can see a chair and know it is of a chair, I to know the noun name for

that object but some days can look at that chair and cant recall or retrieve the

words for it, and so it builds in anxiety for me because know it but cant find

that words in my brain at all. so I to be of have to try to communicate over

that object might give it a new name or call it a thing......

there is of so much to language and yes those who are of so sound senstive to

their own voice often are of the whisperer kids who whisper thier words instead

of speak them with any volume.

but anyways there is of so much complex things in regards to autism and langauge

that I to understand from personal levels and from the work in the past years of

children with a variety of levels of autism. and from parenting 4 kids with

aspergers it is of how can express of all this but mostly it is of from the own

personal experiences with langauge and having that ability to communicate it

though typing out the words.

Hi, Sondra, I'm always grateful for your insight. I like this:

"such as can see a chair and know it is of a chair, I to know the noun name for that object but some days can look at that chair and cant recall or retrieve the words for it, and so it builds in anxiety for me because know it but cant find that words in my brain at all. so I to be of have to try to communicate over that object might give it a new name or call it a thing......"

Sondra, I know this happens to , and that is why it takes him a long time to respond (only sometimes)...he has to work so hard to recall, and or process the words we say... has some Auditory processing too, I think it goes along with Autism, Aspergers, etc.....I'm wondering if someday we'll see that most of these things are indeed "spectrum" ...who knows. :)

Again. thanks for your insight.

Sondra,

We are doing an IEP for next week and I wanted to ask you if I could bring in a copy of this email. You explain things so well and your words are so powerful coming from an adult who has the same struggles as my son. I will make sure to just copy some of it and it will not include the names, group name or email addresses. Thanks so much! Kellie
