It doesn't really matter. He's already had his way with the savvy choice of Burris. The Democrats tried to be principled for once, but they started taking more heat for being "racist" than they were getting support for doing the right thing. So naturally they caved in and seated Burris anyway.

I think the law should be rewritten. If there is a vacant seat, a special election should be held as soon as possible. If an election is too close to call, run it again. None of this recount nonsense.
