We do it through Usman as well-be prepared if your child is a responder for them to get very ill. It is 40 drops for two days...repeat (if you are under Usman) every three months. We did it for three months, and the first time my ds was very ill (105 temp), the second time he got what looked like the measles, and the third time his cheeks turned red. We backed off to doing it once every 6 months...until we retest titers. HTH KAngele wrote: Anyone know what the Vitamin A Protocol is? Not sure how many drops though. We're doing Valtrex 3x/day and also take 1/2tsp of Kirkman's CLO.Thank you for any assistance here...Angele

Yes, I am aware of this too-BUT we are both patients of Dr. Usman, and she recommends 40 drops every 3 months. It is true. Angel-it is best to call their office though...that is just what she recommended for us, and we use the same product as you from her office. Thanks for your concern . May I ask you guys how high your titers were? We had our son

tested, and his numbers are very high (well out of the reference

range)but our doctor is not comfortable with the high-dose

protocol. She prefers a slightly higher daily dose of CLO instead,

and not the Klaire Labs mycellized (sp?) vitamin A.

Dr. Baker/Dr. Pangborn book said the two day protocol seems very

safe, as long as it is done only every 6 months, and that's the

route I'd do as my doctor doesn't support it at all!! I'm

interested that Dr. Usman is doing it more frequently.

Did you see big gains after the reactions? Both my kids are so much

better after a few days of fever; that's a flag to me that they'd do

well with the antivirals and the high-dose vit. A.

Thanks!

I don't remember what his titers were exactly, other than that they were way up there as well. We saw tremendous gains after each round. I did three rounds-and we will retest this month. Each time my child responded-less severe with each round. I am not sure why she recommends every three months-I just do as I am told because I trust her completely-she is the best in my book. Can I ask you what the vitamin A protocol is for? What does it address? I have heard that vitamin A taken in large doses is very toxic and can put you in a coma??? This may seem like a silly question, but what is the difference btw doing the high dose Vit A and using Cod liver oil daily? I'm a little confused. Is the Vit A protocol more? And What titers were done to determine this? Our Dan just has us doing CLO daily and has never mentioned Vit A protocol to us though I do remember reading about it. The Dr. Usman we see is located in Naperville. She is very knowledgeable and we also think she is one of the best. We did the protocoal too with both of our sons- 40 drops for two days and then again three months later. We really didn't see much from it, so maybe our son is a non-responder. We may try it again later.

I personally can't tell you what the safest limit

is...I can only tell you what we were prescribed.

That was Klair Labs Mycalized Vit. A drops-40 drops

two days in a row every three months.

It addresses high measles titers-my son was a very

viral kid-and had especially high measles titers.

HTH-I am not suggesting anyone try this without a

DAN-I am just telling you what I have done with

success.

I haven't heard it can put you in a coma-but I have

heard it can be dangerous in very high doses.

The high dose vitamin A protocol by Drs.McCandless and Baker is

200,000 to 400,000 ius for 2 days in a row only done once every 6

months. Usman may be doing something different. I wouldn't do this

without a doctor, after the first day if you see a scruffy rash around

the neck then DO NOT give the vitamin A the next day. Klaires's

Micellized vitamin A is recommended.

I've done it once with my son, he had 3 what looked like pimples on

his rear end but I did not see any improvements.
