Guest guest
What is even more infuriating is that these teachers are protected by unions who have rules that they cannot lose their job or be demoted or fired no matter what the charge. The lawyers are union hired and have endless amounts of $$ to drag this court case out until the parents are utterly broke. Unions have outlived their usefulness, & are corrupt and fraudulent these days. Hopefully we are starting to see that now. ~~~~~~ If we are to go forward, we must go back and rediscover those precious values - that all reality hinges on moral foundations and that all reality has spiritual control. ~~~~ Luther King, Jr.  It's really sick and so sad for this little guy and his parents. They sewed a small recorder into his clothing and caught them that very next day. The parapro was asking him if he wanted a "shut-up hit" (which indicated it had happened before then because how else would he know what that meant). The listener could adibly hear the child being hit and the child making a sound as a result of it; this happened repeatedly. The cild came home black and blue with bruises wih an excuse other than what really happened (obviously because the parents had it recorded) Then the teachers were *laughing* about him (the child)eating out of the trashcan. Then another part of the conversation focused on the teachers sanding around talking very, very explicitly (and obviously around this child for it to be recorded) about the sex they had on their date the night before. It really made me sick when I heard it. I think it got posted online somewhere. And to the best of my recollection, I think the child was nonverbal. My policy: Trust no one. Guest guest
, You hit nail right on the head...Check this crap that happened right here in my County of Georgia. They could have used all that money to find ways to teach this little girl but they didnt. They rather spend thousands fighting in court: http://www.examiner.com/x-4959-Special-Education-Examiner~y2009m12d22-Mom-turns-to-homeschooling-to-avoid-psychological-experiments-on-autistic-child Our how about this that just happened last month: http://www.examiner.com/x-4959-Special-Education-Examiner~y2009m12d10-Autistic-child-beaten-dog-tied-and-thrown-into-isolation-cell-at-middle-school#comments It's sick A.Thanepohn, EMT, EMD Down Syndrome Association of Atlanta Co-Vice President and Buddy Walk Chair home cell http://www.facebook.com/EMSGirl To: DownSyndromeInfoExchange Sent: Mon, January 25, 2010 2:43:02 AMSubject: Re: [DownSyndromeInfoExchange] Re: Child w/Ds abused by teacher in West Va....check out the comments What is even more infuriating is that these teachers are protected by unions who have rules that they cannot lose their job or be demoted or fired no matter what the charge. Guest guest
, I lived in Cobb County for 40 years..they are a *do-nothing* network and they do nothing to protect their children. Guest guest
I am a Sautee-Nacoochee girl myself.... but ya you are right, Preston is going to be 8 in Feb. and my husband even ran for School Board (he isn't a politician and we didn't have a ton of money for campaigning, so he didn't win) but we are scared. I spend a lot of time at the Marcus Autism Institute and we have even considered that it would be the best place for him to go to school but who can afford it. How I miss it up there.......
