Thirty-six-year-old of Rocky Hill was arraigned in New Britain Superior Court on Thursday. She pleaded not guilty to four counts of cruelty to persons and three counts of risk of injury to a minor. Prosecutors alledge slapped a child and splashed water in another student's face during a special education class at Chamberlain School in May. There were 10 autistic children in her class. posted $5,000 bail and is due back in court on November 21. The alleged abuse was reported to authorities by one of 's co- workers, which led to investigations by school officials and state child welfare officials.
