Guest guest
Hi all! I have a question > I will be seeing my doctor soon, but I wanted to know if any of you get nauseas and throw up from time to time. I seem to be sick again. I have a fever of 100.3 but I am on med to keep my fever low. I ussually get sick when my sternum or back hurts and I have problems swallowing. I wonder if anyone else has these experiences. I just want to tell my doctor and know I am not alone. love sharon xxoo Sharon
Guest guest
Sharon, When I first got sick, most of my symptoms were GI, however, on the other end. I do get nausea from time to time but I don't vomit. Sounds like you may have a problem with your esophagus. Make sure to talk to your doctor about that there are many auto immune disorders that can effect different things. I also get pain in my back and sternum but was told it was Costochondritis,(inflammation in the ribcage basically) Good luck to you. Lynn -- nauseas Hi all! Guest guest
Sharon for a while I got very sick when the medications were just too strong for my system. Everything else checked out ok with testing and so they cut back some of my meds for a while and it improved. Just a thought, and hope it gets better for you, Melt ----- Original Message ----- From: Sharon Hi all! Guest guest
Hi Sharon, My Name is Keri. I've had stills for almost 4yrs. and been apart of the Stills family for about 3 1/2 years. But I wanted to tell you that on my onset I was throwing up big time. Then once I was finally diagnosed I had manor nausea, it seemed like everyday I would be leaning over a bucket just waiting to throw up. But it would eventually pass. I never ended up actually tossing my cookies. My doc gave me a pill, (I can't think of the name) that helped with the nausea. Then one day I have no idea what changed but it just went away. This probably doesn't help. But I wanted to say that I hope your doc can give you something, gosh the feeling of throwing up IS THE WORST! Hang in there and good luck at the doc. If you need the name of the medication that I was taking for nausea let me know and I will find out what it was. Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I don't know how many people have already replied to this but I can tell you that I totally understand what you're feeling. I can take the physical pain, but the days that I'm like OVER IT and just willing to GIVE UP are when I'm nauseas!!!! I just don't tolerate it well. First, if you're taking Mtx, are you taking pills? if you're taking pills it made ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the WORLD when I switched to injections. It serious DOESN'T hurt if you get diabetic sub-cu needles and it's not hard at all. I was horribly sick when I went up to 6 pills a week and when it was time to go to 8 I just could bear the thought. I haven't been pukey like that since I switched....Second the best antinausea pill I've ever had was Anzamet...VERY expensive...I could only affor to buy three...with insurance they were still almost $15 a PILL. But the RD usually can give you a couple samples, right? Tigan is okay, but it makes me really sleepy, so if you need to function it isn't always safe to take...driving and whatnot....this was the other thing i wanted to say, my doc told me that i was naseaus a lot because i had severe gastric reflux from the prednisone. Are you on pred? are you taking acid reducers and acid nuetralizers with it? It makes all the difference I swear. At least for me. If you get realy nauseas when you're lying down that a sign that it could be the relfux. I never had reflux before I got sick and I had a hard time believing it could make me feel so sick and just throw up and up and up...But one day i paid attention to everything i did and i realized it really was reflux. There's definitly way to feel bettter, you just have to figure out whats causing it.... mwa! hope this helps...feel better soon... love lissah

Guest guest
Hi Sharon, I too have nausea. Every morning when i open my eyes, there it is -- along with a nice fat headache. Good news, it went away for two months when the disease was in remission. But it's back with a vengance right now. The doc even questioned me to see if it was the MTX, but i've had the morning nausea and headaches for years. > Hi Sharon, > > My Name is Keri.
