It means that you are eligible for monthly disability check and as far as I

know, as long as there is still Social Security. It also means that you will be

recieving a big check first.

it sounds to me that they are declaring you disabled and back to 1993 when you

first submitted your apPplications which means you will get a check starting

back from 1993. Gretchen, is this correct???????

Sue and Jackie,

Yes, I read that the same way, Sue - sounds like you will receive

benefits that were due you from 1993 to the present time. I can't say

how long it will take - because it is such a long period, you * may *

receive benefits in installments. Have you received information on

Direct/Electronic Deposit yet?

There is also some calculation involved for the Payments Department,

for all those years to determine your benefit amount, cost of living

increases, and attorney fees.
