Guest guest
It means that you are eligible for monthly disability check and as far as I know, as long as there is still Social Security. It also means that you will be recieving a big check first.
Guest guest
Gretchen, I also have another question: what if I have children that are 17 and 15, do I have to do anything different for them to get anything? Sue

Guest guest
it sounds to me that they are declaring you disabled and back to 1993 when you first submitted your apPplications which means you will get a check starting back from 1993. Gretchen, is this correct??????? Jackie
Guest guest
Sue and Jackie, Yes, I read that the same way, Sue - sounds like you will receive benefits that were due you from 1993 to the present time. I can't say how long it will take - because it is such a long period, you * may * receive benefits in installments. Have you received information on Direct/Electronic Deposit yet? There is also some calculation involved for the Payments Department, for all those years to determine your benefit amount, cost of living increases, and attorney fees.
