Guest guest
Andy is the same way. The sensory issues at times drive him totally nuts. Has anything changed? His routine, the bulletin boards, new kids, new sounds, different schedule, work he doesn't understand, new lightbulbs???? Andy only goes from 8 AM to Noon. That is all the noise and upheaval he can cope with. Sometimes, depending on the other kids, it is even less. We praise him for the time he spends at school, and ignore the rest. Since we moved from CA to NV two years ago, he has progressed from doing 1st grade work, to 5th - 6th ( he is 12) grade work. We squeeze as much as possible in the 4 hours, and reward him if he works hard. I don't know if this helps or not. I pray for you. Andy's school life has been horrific until 2 years ago. He is improving daily, but I doubt if he will ever go all day. Ellen
