It was so much fun.

I was sitting having breakfast with my friends and this dad brings his two

little kids in. He was giving mommy a break. And of course a 2 year old wants to

do ANYTHING the big brother does.

So they were well behaved but after a while the 4 year old was chatting up a

storm about getting mommy a bagel, that MOMMY WANTS A BAGEL and dad is trying to

calm him down (they were sitting right behind me. Well, I turned around and said

" Hi, would you like to see something really cool? "

And it wasn't like I was a stranger, they had been there before and we all said

hi.

The little boy looks at my ziplock bag of sprouts and his got wide and I said

" Do you know what these are? " and he says " What " ?

I said 'Do you know what Broccoli is? " and he smiled and said " Oh I LOVE

BROCCOLI " .

I then said " Well, these are baby broccoli plants and other baby plants and if I

put this in the ground it would grow to be BIG HEADS OF BROCCOLI " .

The 2 year old got interested and the 4 year old said " No way, that's broccoli "

and I said " WAY!!! "

We all laughed. I explained how I grew this in my kitchen (and the father got to

eat his breakfast and had 5 minutes of peace)

After they left, the people sitting next to me (the wife) said " Are you a

vegetarian " ? I said 'not really but I do eat a plant based diet " Then I began

to explain my sprouting.

She said " Oh my daughter would love you, she's been a vegetarian since

she's 18. "

I said " Give her my user ID on FB "

She took it down and we all chatted for about 30 minutes till I left.

It was a very productive SPROUTINGLY GOOD breakfast.

lol
