No, but keep in covered to keep out in flies or other insects that might want to

check it out. I use a five gallon old pickle bucket that I picked behind a

restaurant.

Nine gallons is a lot of water. What is the size of the brick?

Maybe you might want to cut it in half and only do 1/2 at a time.

Q about storing coir

I bought a brick of coir & directions say to reconstitute with 9 gal of h2o. I

have a large tote to store in. Will it mold if I store it in there in a

reconstituted state?
