Guest guest
Melody .. thank you for trimming..but I couldn't figure out how to trim this one (I am really HAVING problems reading digest because people not trimming!). I LOVE the 5 part mix (sorry...you know I value your opinion highly!). I also have done several www.handypantry.com mix of beans (crunchy lentil fest - YUMMO! as well as their Protein and they have a bean salad mix also a favorite!). - for things like Lentils and some others I have eaten some of the different sprouts as they are growing especially beans. I am a HUGE fan of the handypantry.com green trays but I also bought some sproutpeople.org sprouters. I am torn.. I like both and use both. I will tell you one nice thing about the sproutpeople sprouter.. I just put the lid on the lenti fest (I actually mixed crunchy lentil fest with green lentils)... I let them grow then put in fridge.. the other night I needed to supplement a lentil dish I made so I stirfried some of the lentil sprouts and added.. DELICIOUS!!! As Melody said you have to experiment. I just ordered the mung beans and brocolli sprouts. I too one to experiment with microgreens but just not there yet...LOL Now one thing and not sure if I'll get " reprimanded " but I had some 3 garden sprouts ... I ran out of produce.. so I put that in my green smoothie ( along with my alfalfa sprouts - OH MY GOSH was that a goodie! My fruit was red grapes and a banana. I get plenty of fiber and have no problem in that department. > > I like my 3 part salad mix and the other part mix I got from the Sprouthouse. They are growing so nicely on my shelves and greened up yesterday just fine. > > And soon I'll be adding my sunflower sprouts. > > Little by little, I'll be adding other stuff. > > And If I'm successful with the soil and the sunflower seeds, I just might do it with broccoli seeds. > > Now I'm learning about microgreens. > > How fun! > > Melody >
