Guest guest
Thanks. I live in IL. Vance had mentioned a DAN doctor but he too is several months to get into. Believe it or not, my pediatrician will sign off on any tests I want to take so at least I could get some tests done while waiting. I sent the French Lab an e-mail and they have not responded. I cannot find which test to order for the Neopetrin/biopetrin levels. Can someone help you tell me which one? Also, do you think it would be a good idea to get a test from Great Plains Labs for Immunodeficiency? Will that tell me anything I need to know? Thanks! Jeannine > > > > > > Do you have a DAN! doc? Guest guest
Jeannine: We did the testing from France. I had the same confusion. the neoptrin/bioptrin is actually called unrinary pterin. It should be on the list on the order form. Also, I just read today that Great Plains is now doing Porphryn testing so you may want to check there too. Guest guest
Melatonin is great! The Kirkman 1mg. is excellent. You can give more if necessary. Perfectly safe too! Re: Re: Help - Frustrated How much melatonin do you give? When do you give? (at bedtime?)My daughter is 6 weighs just under 50lbs. We haven't tried this yet....would like to see if it helps her in any way! Guest guest
Angie - Give it 20-30 minutes before you'd like her to be asleep. 1/2 to 1 mg. puts my son to sleep most of the time, sometimes in as little as 15 minutes. I've got one of those kids who gets hyper in the evening despite being up since 7:00 a.m., and it works very well. However, if he's not real tired, i.e., he took a long nap, it isn't as reliable and I up the dose to as much as 3 mg and wait as long as a hour before he's out.
