Not to rain on your parade but people have been drinking wine for well over 4000

years, yet the average life expectancy until the early 1900's was only 30-40.

Does any one but me see a problem here?

JUST BE CAREFUL WHEN ***ANYONE*** CLAIMS A SINGLE CURE  -- you will find FAR

more evidence for Aloe Vera as an anti-inflammatory with FAR more bio-active

plant chemicals than grapes! The Same is true of Green Tea - and for that matter

coffee!~ -- many recent 'review of the literature' studies show coffee - strong

fresh coffee -- to be FAR more bio-active than once thought - with neural,

renal-hepatic, Ox Scavenging, and Immune System boosting properties that FAR

exceeded the original findings.

(As we all know, we generally find what we are looking for before we find what

we are not looking for).

Just like low salt diets show a correlation with early death and early-on-set

renal problems and cancers which were masked by what others were looking for.

If you want to talk about 'tribal diets' (which I take some umbrage with since

food is local and seasonal and extending a concept beyond it's REAL meaning is,

well, invalid and meaningless - though it may show an increase in health when

compared to common modern diets) they were both calorie and salt driven.  In

this local area tribal wars were fought over 'salt pits' and in the Great Basins

the 'rich' bands were the ones with the (NaCl) salt deposits with early anthro

notes showing trade costs of an entire large deer for a chunk of salt about the

size of your  fist, or 25 obsidian 'blanks' the size of 4-8 fists for a 2 fist

size chunk of salt - that's a heavy load to carry a long distance for so little

salt in a desert climate.
