Guest guest
Oh that nutty Cathe, with all her nutty push up variations! Zillions of them. I put all the risers on my step and did as many as I could that way. I had fun with this workout, and halfway through the workout it looked as though a sporting goods store had exploded. I burned lots of extra calories putting everything away. I knew I'd need extra setup time in between sets, so I got up pretty early today. Now that I've done one of these workouts, I'm rethinking my approach. I had decided to do the 6.5 month rotation because it repeats each week. I thought it would give me the chance to fine-tune the weights I was using. That had worked so well for me during CLX. However, I had done the 1 rep max test. If you do this on Cathe's workout manager, it gives you an estimate of what you should be lifting for each exercise. Well, it turned out to be pretty darned close. Boy, do I feel worked. I'm not going to need to fine-tune. The shorter rotation will give me an opportunity to do more different rotations in a year. I did the extended stretch too. I liked that.Happy workouts! Guest guest
LOL!!! I soooo hear you on that remark! I'm sure you will get used to it though, and you'll be able to put some weights back and not make such a mess. But, yeah, I agree. She moves very fast in meso 1. The other mesocycles are nothing like that. So cool you are starting it, I can't wait to hear how you like it and your results. It's truly an awesome program! Darcy I had fun with this workout, and halfway through the workout it looked as though a sporting goods store had exploded.
Guest guest
Ha! " sporting goods store had exploded " I know that feeling. Question on the STS, does it include cardio workouts or is the lifting cardio? Now that I'm getting back into the swing of things weight lifting wise...I've cut down a bit on my cardio. But if I were to do such intense program, how much cardio is suggested? a Who really hopes her latin dance workout comes in the mail today. Because I still need to keep it light. > > Oh that nutty Cathe, with all her nutty push up variations! Zillions of > them. Guest guest
So how long of a rotation are you going to do with STS? Are you going to use CLX again? Guest guest
Hi a,It's all strength, although it really did get my HR up (I didn't sit down for the seated stuff, except concentration curls). You do STS 3x/wk, and you do whatever cardio you want on the other days. I can't say how much cardio is recommended. I'm taking a " less is more " approach these days. I get at least 2 cardio days per week, sometimes 3. I keep it low impact, and I vary it a lot. This suits me really well right now. I'm losing weight more easily. I see people on the Cathe forums who really do amazing amounts of intense cardio along with STS. It's not for me right now. I think it all depends on your goals. For me, one of my main goals is to stay in one piece. This works. Ha! " sporting goods store had exploded " I know that feeling. Guest guest
Hi Jen,This morning I decided to do the 3.5 month rotation because the 1 rep max test helped me find the right weight to use. That workout manager is great. Yes, I will do CLX again someday. It was great fun. After STS, I also would like to revisit some other rotations, including Slow & Heavy series, her Pyramid set, and her Gym Styles. I haven't done the Gym Styles rotation. I never thought I'd become a rotation kind of gal!On Tue, Aug 25, 2009 at 5:38 PM, Jen aka aka wrote: So how long of a rotation are you going to do with STS? Are you going to use CLX again? Guest guest
Thanks , I know I need to boost my strength training even more. I think I will keep the STS as a goal purchase for within the year and concentrate on upping my endurance and strength weight wise....so she doesn't kill me. If it weren't so expensive I'd buy it right now. Yowzers! a > > > > > > Oh that nutty Cathe, with all her nutty push up variations! Zillions of > > > them. Guest guest
Hi a,Boosting my strength training is the best thing I've done for myself in years. I'm glad I did CLX first for the same reason you mention. It's worth saving up for. Yeah, I'm done spending money for a while! Thanks , I know I need to boost my strength training even more. Guest guest
LOL, I love it! Yes, STS is awesome. I never got bored at all while doing it either.Darcy Do you know that I woke up at 3:30 a.m., and I couldn't go back to sleep because I was so excited about starting. I got up!! It's 7PM and I am officially sleepwalking.
