Guest guest
My whole family -who are actually ignorant people who vote based on the media's opinion of candidates- used to be Democrat, but everyone but my father has become a Republican - mainly because none of the Democrats turned out to be like the media made them out to be. Yes, it is a rather ignorant way to decide who to vote for, but that is what they used to do - trust the media. The excuse they used at the time was that they didn't understand government or the issues facing the nation because all of that was " too complicated " and " too difficult " to understand. My suggestions that they educate themselves were met with derision of course. Administrator http://www.mediaresearch.org/biasbasics/biasbasics3.asp Yes, I agree that if one holds a conservative view and considers themselves a Republican then they will write with a slant regardless of the ethics of journalism and same holds true for liberals who vote as Democrats. My point is that the overwhelming majority of newpaper editors & reporters and tv news reporters & commentators do vote with the Democratic Party, thus their viewpoints are expressed and digested by the average citizen more often than opposing party.
