Nobody gets leg ache?

Big Steve, my legs get a feeling like they are on FIRE if I walk any kind of

distance especially after a days work. I now have to use a cane at times, or

should I say most of the time.

My Rheumy told me to take a Potassium supplement which has helped a bit, but

not all that much.

I have finally swallowed my pride and applied for a handicapped placard for

my vehicles so that I don't have to walk as far. One day not to long ago I was

shopping and some inconsiderate bastard moved my cart about 20 feet down the

isle and I literally had to pull myself along the shelves to get to it as the

cart was the only thing holding me up.

Now that I am no longer allowed to take Enbrel or MTX out of concerns of

possible MS my joints are also killing me and some swelling has already

returned.

Fun,fun,fun!

Kirk.

I also forgot to add, eating bananas will also help, and they are good for

you. I eat them with my Wheaties!

I have also had it in my upper body on many occasions, except it felt

different than my legs. With my job there are many instances where you are

working with your arms above you head. There have been a number of days where

the pain was so bad I couldn't do it without suffering greatly. There were even

a few days where I couldn't even hide the pain and had to walk away from the job

and have someone else do it and I would " trade " jobs with them. Nothing makes me

more furious than when I can't do what I know I am " gifted " at!!!!!

I do get this burning sensation also. But not only in my legs. I have

experienced it in my shoulder area also.

I was low in potassium a couple of times and mentioned more bananas would be

eaten. My doctor, who keeps up with nutritional values, said " Few people

realize that kiwi's have much more potassium in them than bananas. Eat kiwi's.

They are plentiful here, and I love kiwi's. I used to have very restless legs

due to the low potassium. Now I get intermittent, sudden onset of severe cramps

in the soles of my feet. I plan to discuss it with my next Neurology

appointment. Anyone have sudden onset of cramps in the soles of the feet?

Peace,

Barbara

I get wicked cramps and/or pains in every single part of my legs ever since I

had to stop taking Enbrel & MTX. My wrists, elbows & shoulders like to join in

the mix also, but they don't get used nearly as much. By the end of the day, my

feet, shins and knees are 100% shot and " spike " pain.

Hi Barb,

I suffered from leg/foot cramps for a long time. Several weeks ago my local

newspaper had an article about it and suggested drinking low sodium V-8

juice. I gave it a try and lo and behold! No more cramps! I drink 8 oz. of

V-8

juice before my main meal and not only has it stopped the cramps but it also

lessens my appetite! What a bonus!

Give it a try and let me know if it helps.
