Guest guest
Ok, , I'm trusting you in saying that I will love these things, LOL! Remember, I'm a low maintenance kind of gal. Don't have time to trifle with things that demand attention in order to work well. So, here I go - will see about getting that second one today! In the well know phrase of Ahnold, " I'll be back! Guest guest
Thea, Buy it. If you don't use it you can always sell it, probably for more $$ ew RE: Another aerogarden - Hey , Just wanted to let you know I have another opportunity to buy another 7 pod aerogarden - this time for $30 -what do you think?!! I haven't even started using the first one yet - no time to get it all together and figure it out. You *know* I'll be in touch to learn this stuff, especially if I get the second one! Guest guest
Me, too on that yard sale, except I am not sure anyone would want the stuff. LOL. I need to clean out the cupboard of all the stuff I have never used that were here when I bought the place and open up some space for all the junk I have on the counters. No room on counters for my Vitamix and we just dug it out of the shed where my husband stored it. I need a cabinet or someplace to store appliances to get them easily. And then I see someone on here who puts the sunnies in the cabinet to keep them in the dark. I do not have a cabinet where I could put much of anything in.  I'll have to check out Craigslist. But sure do have to be careful with that. Can't know when somethjing will be available at a garage sale. I have a neighbor who does that and checks the trash for some things. He was able to furnish a studio apartment on his mobile home with cabinets he found out in the trash and they were brand new. The guy who had them decided he didn't like them. He put out some really nice used ones to take the new ones. It is amazing what he finds. Found an outside light that works perfectly and he can fix some things if they are broken. Wish I had patience and skills like that but I'd have a worse looking place than I have now or a lot more stuff. I do scrapbooking and card making so I have that here and need a bigger place for that. I need to cut back but haven't learned to do that yet.   Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2012 7:07 PM Subject: RE: Another aerogarden -  Carolyn, I just do a search on Craigslist for an aerogarden. I also search on CL for Vitamix blenders too. Don’t have time to peruse garage sales (although I do like them - in fact, should have one of my own!). Garage sales or on Craig's list? Or newpaper ads? Think I'll look at Craig's list and see. I'm about like you, I have the one I bought out in the enclosed sunroom and onlyopened the top and havne't gotten it out or read directions yet. Will soon. I am concerend about the health of the ones my husband steamed. I took out the ones on the outside edge of one as they looked bad but kept the middle. Yet the side ones the next day seemed a bit slimey but not sure if it was from the water or not. After I scraped them out I rinsed again. They look good in the middle. Some of the beans in the other try have 2 leaves on them, both on the same side. Not sure which bean that is. Others have some starting. I pulled out one with 2 leaves and it was about 2 " or so and had roots of about 1-1/2 " or so. I'm not quite sure when you are supposed to eat the bean sprouts. And are the roots eaten too? Guest guest
Ebays fees have gotten a bit better, but by the time Paypal takes their hit too, it can add up, which is why I LOVE craigslist-costs nothing! I still sell on ebay, but more often on craigslist and my local groups. We have a local radio program every weekday where you can call it to sell your stuff-I usually sell something every day, and its fun-people selling everything from used toilets to baby goats, lol. > > Great way to get extra money. I tried to sell a few things on ebay but cost me more to list than it was worth. Don't think I really made any money considering the things I listed that didn't sell. I tried some used books and did sell some and cheaper as shipping was media, but had too many that didn't sell either. I stpped buying them on ebay for the same reason, the cost and then the shipping made them more than I wanted to pay. I do still buy a few from there or from Amazon which is more expensive but only when it is non-fiction. I love somemysteries and some light love as I use them to relax as I don't have to think when reading them. >  > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > > portions of this message have been removed] >
Guest guest
Well, it's certainly something to think about, which is what I shall do! Thanks again! Guest guest
Radio is a fantastic way to seel when don't have to pay for advertising. Craigslist woudl be fantastic except that there is danger when someone comes to home or you go there. Maybe not so much evil in the far north.   Down here we have gated communities to provide for more safety. You know about the little boy who described his grandparents as being some of the old people locked up behind fences and gates with a guard, don't you? Have to eat " early bird " every night. He wanted to help his grandparents get out and let them eat something else.  LOL Carolyn Wilkerson  To: sproutpeople Sent: Sunday, March 25, 2012 10:19 PM Subject: Re: Another aerogarden -  Ebays fees have gotten a bit better, but by the time Paypal takes their hit too, it can add up, which is why I LOVE craigslist-costs nothing! Guest guest
I don't have people come to my home from craigslist-I usually meet them down the road in Hardees parking lot-they must think I am a drug pusher as I am there several times a day, lol. For the local radio show, I usually know the person coming, since I live in a small community and we all keep selling the same stuff to each other, lol. > >  > > > > Carolyn Wilkerson > > > > > > portions of this message have been removed] > > > > > > >
