Guest guest
Lynn D wrote: Wow Ginger, thanks for responding. I have been cutting back on my ditropan(the main side effect is that is stops sweating, also causes bad dry mouth), Anyway, my sweating has increased, as well as itching and all. I have to change my clothes, especially my bra's and uderwear a couple a times in the morning, then it is like sometime during the afternoon someone pulls a switch and I feel like I am freezing to death. I start layering the clothes on ending with my fuzzy hooded robe, and get under my electric throw(for those that don't have these they are about 20 bucks at Walmart and the best thing ever) Oh I know how it is to just sit and shiver. I mean really shake and then throw covers of all sorts until there is nothing left. It feels like I am in and iglo. Then I sweat so bad you could ring out the clothes. It's just plain awful. But this I only do at around four in the morning. I had severe itching for the past 4 weeks and was told it was a med reaction, change soap, or it was anxiety. I am on all hypo allergenic products now. I was biopsied and diagnosed with Grovers disease(very itchy rash found in 80 yr old men) on my chest a year ago and that is common with sweating also. I have itching but on my arms and I did find out one strange thing that happens. If I scratch or just rub where my arm itches, well about a min. after I stop I get red blotches. Some are very small like a dot and others are the size of a dime. As for the red legs, I thought I was just weird, but every night around 8ish my thighs and knees get so red and so hot that I throw off all the covers and just want to pour ice water on them. I know I recently read in a book at the library that people with Fibromyalgia are hard to live with as they have faulty thermostats and go from extremes of hot and cold. Funny thing is all the rhuemy's I have seen have said I don't have that. My mom does and she is fine and keeps the thermostat the same all the time. I have to work around it. It is like my thermostat is totally broken. That;'s funny you said thermostat because this is how I explained it to my doctor. My thermostat is broken. LOL Yes my thighs is the first place it starts too. Then it goes to my knees and on down. I get so hot I have to get up and move a little and of course I can't sleep until it goes away or just gets some better. Lost alot of sleep for months now. As for your skin peeling on your hands I could swear I read about another auto immune disorder causing something like that. Not sure what it was though. I know there are several forms of Scleroderma that effect the skin. Good luck to you and stay warm. I will let you know if I find out anything and you too!! Oh wow, hey I better not have anything else wrong with me. I just couldn't take it. I am still working on the Aplastic Anemia. I am hopping they don't have to give me bone marrow because I would have no one they could use. You take care my friend and stay warm too. Guest guest
It is like my thermostat is totally broken. That;'s funny you said thermostat because this is how I explained it to my doctor. My thermostat is broken. Wow guys! My husband has been telling me for years that My thermostat is broken. I mean really. No kidding! Those are his exact words! Sometimes I am freezing, especially my hands and feet, when I first go to bed, and I too wake up drenched in sweat. A few years ago when I was admitted to the cancer clinic for testing because of very large lymph nodes, that was one of the things I was worried about. You hear of people with cancer who have night sweats, I was so scared. Lucky for me, it wasn't cancer after all. The other thing I thought was, am I going through the "change", but I think I am too young for that. Take care everyone and have a safe and restful holiday! Post your free ad now! Yahoo! Guest guest
Oh wow. I had breast cancer four years ago and never got this. But last year and now I tend to go into a freeze and then a heavy sweat. I was even tested for TB. Hugs; Ginger Khogyani wrote: It is like my thermostat is totally broken. Guest guest
Hi Ginger, I was tested for TB too. My doc at the time thought because I had lived in the Canadian arctic (above the tree line) and TB is common, I could have that too. I was also tested for HIV and numerous other ailments. Guest guest
, I know and when they did the TB test the one in the arm, I got this big red blotch and they put me in the hospital right away. They took more tests and everything was ok. But when they did the test for lyme I was having 106 fever and it was about a weelk. I had this strange rash on the inside of my arm and I told Lynn how they took blood every 10 or 15 min. and said it was to get the tick our or at least partly out. Guest guest
Hi Ginger, I didn't have any reaction to the TB test, which is a good thing I guess. That's why I had lots of other tests. That's weird about the dream thing you had. Post your free ad now! Yahoo! Canada Personals
Guest guest
Oh that is good that you didn't have a reaction to the TB test. Yes that dream thing sure worried me too. LOL Saw my heart doctor today. One, he wants me to stop smoking and how can I? My 23 year old son called this morning and the other night and was depressed. He lives in a group home for drug kids and he can't stay at any one place too long then he starts hating it. He did something wrong to make them angry with him and I just bet it's drugs again. So this morning when he called he said he's all packed to live in the stree again. He did this a year ago and lived in the street out here buy us and he came pounding at my door at anytime during the night. I am in way too much pain to have to keep jumping up all the time and I need some sleep for my other two children. He is maneack depressive and other things. I tried to call his doctor who he suposidly has and nothing. They called him but he said everything is fine. I can't have him here because of the last time while here he threted(sp) us that he would kill me or damage my car. Why now. Anyway, sorry for the leak out. My doctor also said my homohystine(sp) is way too high and it's what clogs the arteries and wants me to take one folic acid a day but last time I did this for three days ( although I took 9 a day as the other doctor said to do) I hemmoraged. Also he wants me to take my high blood pressure pills in the afternoon as I take so many pills in the morning and the pressure pill makes me feel so light headed I can't drive the kids anywhere. So that was my good day so far. Sorry like I said about the long letter. I just can't get over how everything seems to happen close to the Holidays... Guest guest
I am trying . I just hope he doesn't go and come out here and start bothering us during the whole week end. I need to get some sleep and need to go back to the Oncologist the Monday after Christmas. So I am trying not to be uptight. LOL Hard to do, easy to say.
