Guest guest
My HR skyrocketed just reading this! I should wear my HRM when I read your posts about Mr. 45!!!I am especially amazed at the snatches with that weight. Good for you! Well, I will admit I didn't want to face Mr. 45 today. I'm sure I was intimidated. However, once I got going, it felt fantastic and I got my butt whipped. I did the same exercises as my quickie, but I did 2 sets of them, since I wanted it to be a bit longer. 2-handed swings / 40 (repeated)Clean & Press (3 each side) 3 sets (I BARELY got these in, and for that I did one set, I later did another set at the end of my workout)Overhead swing / 20 (repeated)Tactile Lunges / 30 (repeated) Figure 8 / 30 (repeated, but I also barely made it)1-handed swing / 40 (repeated)Snatch / 3 each side, 3 sets. I was sooo sweaty and could barely hold onto it, for that reason I did one set, did another set later Pull, catch, & squat / 18 (repeated - but I nearly died..my heart rate was 178 after finishing each time, my biceps could barey hold the ball up on the catch, I could NOT have done 1 more if my life depended on it) (went back and did the second set of clean & presses)Snatches, but I used my 35lb bell since I couldn't hang on to the 45 well-enough for it to be safe. I did 4 each side, repeated 3 timesBy this time, the boys were up and I was on the song " Bam, Bam, Bam " , so I cranked it loud and we danced for quite awhile. By the time my heart rate dropped it was over an hour. I had burned 739 calories. I was shocked. It said my average was 139, BUT, I let it stay on for awhle afterwars because it took forever for my heart rate to drop down. I'm sure during the workout, my average was more high. Done for the day. My biceps are still feeling it. I worked way too hard for a " rest " day. i guess.... it was a rest from videos anyway :)Darcy

Guest guest
:DHi Darcy, I'm not doing entire KB workouts, but I'm inserting high intensity KB intervals during the Chalean cardio workouts. I wont do any moves that involve jumping with high knees, or burpees, or anything that looks risky. That's where I throw in some high-pull/squat combos, figure 8's to a hold, snatches, and dead cleans. That means I'm staying familiar with the KB swings during this Chalean rotation. I keep forgetting to do tactical lunges. I'll have to add those to the mix. My feet, knees and hips stay happy this way. OMG, you are too funny ! Thanks for the kind words!
