Alyssa scripts when she's anxious, or in a new situation. What's

going on that's new?

The only thing I can think of is school started last week and she has

a new respite person. She has attended this school in the summer so

it's not totally new. She usually is pretty good with new people too.

Don't know on this one???

For my son, his scripting sky rockets when he has high yeast. To control the yeast issue, I give him GSE and start him on the SCD diet. It went away.

Thank you-you made my day by confirming that it may be

as simple as high yeast. I will add GSE, continue

GFCF with enzymes, and Diflucan.

I think of scripting as when your child recites things like lines

from movies he/she has seen, etc. Another way to describe scripting

is delayed echolalia.

Scripting is when they do just that, script.  Such as repeating every word from a conversation in a movie, or a conversation they heard, singing a song over and over again, etc.  Not using language functionally.HTHCherylI always counted my blessings because I had a childwho didn't script. Sometimes

its age-related.

Is he developing more language also?

Scripting is when a child repeats a combination of sounds or lines or the entire dialogue from a show/movie/conversation . They would talk to themselves and repeat these words incessantly. It's like they're replaying a scene or conversation over and over again. I call it the "broken record" effect.

Hard to say.

I think for my son, it tends to go up as yeast goes up, but it also

goes up when he has been with other kids who are scripting. This is

why I can't pinpoint it to exactly one thing. If you suspect yeast, I

would work on it to see if it remediates the scripting. Our kids are

all so different that nothing ever seems to be clear cut...

Thank you to everyone who helped me with the scripting

issue. I just got of the phone with our DAN, Dr.

Usman, and for anyone else having this problem, here

is her spin on it.

Scripting and Echoalia have to do with Strep in the

Gut (my guy has always had that problem)....so she

recommended us resolving Gut Strep with Three

Homeopaths sold at her office (PleoSan Staph Drops,

PleoSan Strep Drops, and PleoNot)...along with a

supplement called pycnogenol.

So...we will see-Kill the Strep!

Good news though-Valtrex is aiding in chelating my

son-we are pullingout more metals with Valtrex and

Chelation Suppositories than Chelation alone.

It's funny how we react differently to situations. I just joined this chat group hoping to learn more about LDN for my 5 yr. old ASD son. He didn't talk at all for sooo long that when he started scripting we were thrilled. We got to hear his little voice talking and saying exactly what "Dora" or "Blues Clues" was saying. He only does it when he is playing with his charachter toys. I guess I should be doing something to stop his scripting. Is that what anyone here would suggest. Does LDN help with scripting issues? THANKS FOR SHARING!!! I was thinking yeast was causing it. But my daughter has had strep twice in the past two months. I guess my thought process is correct in relating the strep throat to strep in the gut. I'll try it.....keep us posted if you try this method...would love to hear the results...feel free to email me angcarter97@.... I'd like to read more comments on this myself as my ASD daughter who'll be 5 in May continues to script alot. For the longest time that was her main form of verbalization. Now she can answer simple questions but scripts a good deal of the time as well. Its like she's stuck in 'scripting' mode. She just started Diflucan and we will start OLE, GSE and ViraStop soon. Hopefully, with the combination of yeast, virus killers we'll see her verbal skills emerge into more conversational speech. Her comprehension is delayed too, so hopefully the fog will lift from that as well.

That's awesome....enjoy your moment!! The things some of us are trying to stop others are thrilled to have. Everyone seems to be at different stages from what I have read. It's hard not to compare....if you do you'll loose all your marbles. I've seen comments of LDN helping with scripting.....it certainly made my daughter more verbal!! With her the scripting comes and goes. a DeNofa wrote: It's funny how we react differently to

We also use Fire Tree Bark, a natural-but VERY

effective anti-fungal. You can order it from Dr.

Hicks at Pathways Medical Center in Delevan, WI-he has

a website, but you would have to google it. We rotate

that with Diflucan...and it works.

We just started a yeast protocol also. He's doing GSE, No Phenol and Candex. I was told that OLE and Virastop when they are ridding the body of the virus that it produces more yeast. Do you know if you can do all of them like you mentioned. I'd like to know b/c I would do them too. I'm also going to add in Biotin. Another group highly recommends this in combination with the yeast treaters. Let me know what you think. a kcboone wrote: I'd like to read more comments on this myself as my ASD daughter who'll be 5 in May continues to script alot.
