Guest guest
AMEN, --to each and every word! To deny the fact about how sick our children get FROM VACCINES, or to deny that there is a HUGE financial connection between drug companies, medical schools, and doctors, is a denial of the facts. We who refuse to go along with the "program" are not fringe loonies, as the mainstream media portays us. Not paranoid. Not stubborn, ignorant, or ill-informed. Just not willing to shoot our kids up with deadly toxins, disease material, heavy metals, and dead fetuses--to keep them SAFE from diseases that good sanitation and nutrition have all but eliminated. Guest guest
I very much so picked and choose vaccines for each child and did not follow that crazy schedule. Have you gotten a child into school without having them be fully vaccinated, or did they pressure you into believing you HAD TO "catch them up" before they'd be allowed in? Just curious. Guest guest
You already made a false statement about vaccines that leads me to believe that you have not truly researched. Anyone who says that drs or the CDC are claiming that vaccinations offer 100% protection, has NOT done their research. I never once said I had heard that the CDC said ANYTHING, much less that they claimed 100% effectiveness for vaccines. Where did YOUR statement come from? Not from my post. Nor anyone who thinks that a teen coming down with whooping cough is a vaccine failure. I never said anything like this either. Not even close! Although if the teen WAS vaccinated, that WOULD, of course, be a vaccine failure if she came down with the disease, now that YOU mention it. Marilyn Big savings on Dell XPS Laptops and Desktops! Guest guest
No Marilyn you are NOT right. Guest guest
Yes you did. Back when the post about non vaccinated children being a risk to vaccinated. You stated if kids had been vaccinated then they wouldn't need to worry because of the vaccinations. I don't have your kind of time, apparently, to go back and dig in all the past posts and pull them apart to attack people with. The words "CDC" and "100%" were in my post? If they were, it would have to be in refereence to something recent I had read, which I now can't recall. But I sure didn't pull it out of the air. And it stands to reason that if YOU believe the vaccines are completely safe and effective, MY unvaccinated kids WOULD NOT pose a risk to them. That's just logic. That statement I probably did make, and I totally stand by it because it simply makes sense. And no, it's not a vaccine failure if a teen gets whooping cough. You should go read about the vaccine before you make such statements. How would reading about whooping cough vaccines tell me that a child who is vaccinated, and then gets sick, with ANYTHING they were vaccinated against, is NOT a vaccine failure? Guest guest
But Marilyn you have in the past made reference over and over that people who not believe as you do are idiots and easily intimated, see above post. When you talk that way, it brings out the worst in people because you are putting them on the defensive. Fine to have your views and certainly your opinion, but try to keep it respectful as others don't believe the same as you. No--I didn't call PARENTS "idiots". I said the STATEMENT was idiocy. Guest guest
I'm getting too tired and confused here, so I'm going to call it a day. I know what I mean, and you know what you mean, but it's becoming a muddle in my brain at this point. I still TRULY believe I have been misread, but it's simply not all that vital that we see eye to eye on this, so I'm going to drop it, if you don't mind. Not angry, not upset, not anything but tired at this point. Note to Marsha--I don't usually "tone down". I'm too intense for that. But I CAN be reasoned with, and most of the time, I can "play nice". Guest guest
Do you realize who these anti vaccine camps are? They are not out to make money off of us they are out to warn us because they watched their perfectly healthy child either die or suffer horrible side affects the rest of their life from vaccines. Then they are made to feel they are foolish extremist for blaming the vaccine and it was just bad genetics that all of a sudden happened just around the time they got their vaccines. This is such an insult. I have read hundreds of horrible cases of vaccine reactions and have witnessed first hand healthy children totally deteriorate after their vaccines. I just had a lady approach me at church Sunday asking for help with her boys that she saw deteriorate after injections. Now her doctors are making her feel like she is crazy to think it could be the shots and now she is on her own to try to regain her beautiful boy's health back. It breaks my heart! None of my boys have been vaccinated and they have never an ear infection either or been on antibiotics except my son with DS when he had heart surgery. (8,5,19 months) I had all my shots as a child and I suffered with severe asthma, food allergies, and environmental allergies. I got bronchitis all the time. It wasn't until I was an adult that I changed my diet and detoxed and now I am the healthiest in my family and off of all medications that I was told I would need forever. I encourage you to keep your mind open and keep researching. Just make sure you are reading information that is not backed by someone who is profiting from the vaccine. Why has there never been a study of the unvaccinated children vs. the vaccinated? Hummmm! They have had plenty of time and resources to do this. Research how many cases of Autism and all the other childhood learning problems and autoimmune problems rampant now that are NOT in the Amish community who as a whole do not vaccinate. Although they too are now being pressured to do so. Also, do your due diligence and get the medical inserts from your doc from all the vaccines they give and look up every ingredient and really see what it is and what it does in the body. I wouldn't even put those ingredients in my mouth why would I inject them in my child's bloodstream. Guest guest
, Everyone is free to believe what they want. :-) What I truly find offensive is the tone in which the anti-vaccine people present their case. The implication is that *I* didn't do my research ( I DID) or that I have a closed mind ( I DON'T) or that I am unaware that some people should not get vaccinated and do have a bad reaction to it. Or even that I believe what ever Drs say with out looking it up! Anyone who knows me, knows that's a huge laugh. ;-) Esp any of my Drs. ;-) Feel free to express your opinons, but I would ask that your refrain from calling other people ignorant or close minded because they disagree with you. :-)Priscella K is a very good example of how to respectfully speak about vaccines. She states her very passionate position, but does not belittle people in the process. Do you realize who these anti vaccine camps are? Guest guest
And I totally agree!!! I very much so picked and choose vaccines for each child and did not follow that crazy schedule. I don’t think that every single vaccine is bad, but some of them definitely have more harmful effects than beneficial ones. It is a proven fact that vaccines are ‘bundled’ for convenience (doctor and parent) and not because that is the safest way to give them. This book was a real eye opener for me: Healing the New Childhood Epidemics: Autism, ADHD, Asthma, and Allergies: The Groundbreaking Program for the 4-A Disorders From Publishers Weekly Almost half of all American children today are diagnosed with autism, ADHD, allergies or asthma, an " undeniably epidemic " statistic that physician Bock (The Road to Immunity) and author Stauth (Brain Longevity) use to launch an investigation into potential causes of and treatments for these conditions, while demonstrating Bock's unusual approach through numerous case studies. According to the authors, genetics " load the gun, and environment pulls the trigger " : bodily toxins like heavy metals, exposure to viruses through vaccination and poor nutrition create " a veritable perfect storm of physical and neurological insult " that hits hardest those still developing their immune systems. In case studies, Bock approaches each patient like a puzzle waiting to be solved, a refreshing, multi-pronged strategy to healing: finding and treating the root cause of illness rather than its symptoms, reducing the body's toxin load and helping the body heal itself through nutritional and medical therapy. Guest guest
f anyone stops to think for just 30 seconds, that " unvaccinated children pose a risk to vaccinated ones " idiocy flies right out the window. If YOU vaccinate your child, and YOU feel vaccines are safe and effective, how on earth could MY unvaccinated child pose a threat to YOUR supposedly " protected " one? Huh? Makes ZERO sense. Guest guest
I can't copy and paste again for some odd reason Marilyn- but the statement you were referring to as idiocy is simply a fact. Unvaccinated kids would allow a disease to spread further and faster then a group of vaccinated ones and if large populations don't vaccinate, it will increase the exposure to everyone. Since vaccines are not 100% effective, this would increase the odds that a vaccinated kid would be exposed and possibly get it as well. To believe that statement is to believe facts, and is not idocy. If pro-vaccine person did not understand that their child is not 100% protected, or that certain vaccines are only good for short periods, then they did not do their research. Do you see what I mean here? What you are saying is it's idocy to believe that statement ( of fact) and now are saying that you don't think ALL parents would believe THAT....means that only the people who believe the facts are idiots??? LOL You are trying to make it better, but seems you are adding insult to injury. ;-) ( read that in a happy tone as I am laughing at this myself) If you are pro-vaccine then according to your posts, that makes me someone who believes idiot statements by authority figures with out question. There really is no other way to 'take' that. :-) I really hate to be misunderstood. Guest guest
Marilyn, I agree with Carol. I have not vaccinated my children and I probably share many of your viewpoints, but I would never express my thoughts and opinions quite as you have. From my point-of-view, you need to soften your posts. Think of questionaaires which may ask you to answer based on the following types of answers: " Never, Almost, Almost Never, Sometimes, Frequently, and Always " . Try to avoid the extremes. I think that often there is a correlation between vaccines and present-day illnesses, but there is probably more to it than that. There are over 500+ members on this list and we are bound to have different opinions. Besides that, the subject is moving away from Down Syndrome. Guest guest
I have gotten 6 children into school with out being fully vaccinated. And I know my rights, so they stopped after I stated them. :-) still is not fully vaccinated and goes to school every day. I very much so picked and choose vaccines for each child and did not follow that crazy schedule. Have you gotten a child into school without having them be fully vaccinated, or did they pressure you into believing you HAD TO " catch them up " before they'd be allowed in? Just curious. Guest guest
Carol, How did you do that? Did you have a Dr. sign a medical exemption? I think that the religious exemption which I sign only works if you have opted out of shots entirely. There are too many shots. Marsha > > > > > > > In a message dated 4/22/2009 7:59:46 P.M. Guest guest
Our Pastor at the time wrote a letter stating that parents are the final authority over their children, not the state, and can choose to reject certain vaccinations that we feel are not in the best interest of the child. We have had no problems. :-) I pick and choose which ones I wanted and when I wanted them. just had her first MMR two years ago and is still in need of a booster for it too.
