Guest guest
My main problem with IL-2 is that nobody has ever demonstrated any clinical improvement in people who have used this very unpleasant and expensive therapy. There is some question as to whether there is any new recruitment of cells from the thymus, which would be ideal, or whether the new cells are peripherally generated clones of pre-existing T cells. CD4 counts are a valuable part of monitoring patient care, obviously, but if you just inflate the numbers, without adding real immune response improvement, I'm not sure what you accomplish, except making patients feel sick as dogs. When someone demonstrates real benefits, I'll be first in line. In the meantime, I continue to be unimpressed.
