Guest guest
You are doing great ! What a great motivator to have your friend coming to run the 5 K with you in October. Thanks for letting us know how this is working for you and how you had to add more than three days to complete the next step comfortably. You are adjusting the workout for your needs. That is great! I never thought I'd hear myself say I want to run either. Have a great day, Kerry Subject: Couch to 5k To: exercisevideos Date: Tuesday, June 16, 2009, 6:34 PM I am doing c25k also. I am on week 4 right now. I am actually starting to like running which isn't something I thought I would hear myself saying at almost 250lbs LOL. Just keep at it & remind yourself when a new week seems hard remember back to week 1 & how you thought it was hard & how it seems easy now. I found once I got to week 3 and now week 4 where there are longer periods of running I am having to do it more than 3 days to completely feel comfortable enough to move on to another week but I feel like as long as I am progressing I still feel accomplished in completing each week. I am signed up to do a 5k for breast cancer in Oct. (Anyone wanna donate? LOL) so I have enough time to build up & finish all 9wks of it before then. Also I just found out that my very best friend since 6th grade is coming from Utah to Alabama to do my first 5k with me I am so super excited & this also gives me that extra push to get my butt on the treadmill when I may not have wanted to. I can't wait to see her cause I haven't gotten to see her for 24 years it will be a very special reunion & a great support for me during my first try at a 5k.
