Guest guest
LOL, I can empathize, but can you imagine having no prescription drug coverage and having to cough up $1,289.46 each month for Enbrel? I had to and then I went broke. I am looking forward to Medicare giving us a little break next year on prescribed drugs. But with my luck, none of the drugs I have to take will be covered under then "new plan." LOLOL. Someone needs to do something with the drug and insurance companies. I've been on a waiting list for over three years now with Phizer. It's a joke. Much love, Terry
Guest guest
Hey Terry I agree that my $100 copay is still way better than the $1150 that Kineret would cost out of pocket. The bad part is that all these copays add up too, and our budget is tight like most people with any illness in the family. To jump from $25 - $100 out of the blue was a shock and a blow to our monthly expenses. I have a friend on an expensive injectable drug for MS and she found that the drug manufacturer actually has some kind of assistance program. Somehow we never seem to qualify for most help....if only we were just a little 'broker'. Stay Healthy
Guest guest
Yes this is the main reason I can't take it. I have medical and medicare and neither will pay. Last week we went to the pharmacy to pick up my monthly kineret prescription. The copay has always been $25 through our BlueChoice plan. BUT now it costs me $100! Ouch! The insurance company says they are just tired of paying so much for injectable drugs. Well.....aren't we all? Just checking the group to see if any of you have had this same shocking experience.Stay Healthy Visit the Still's Disease Message Boardhttp://disc.server.com/Indices/148599.htmlThe materials and information contained in this message are not intended to replace the services of a trained health professional or to be a substitute for medical advice of physicians and/or other health care professionals. Guest guest
$100.00.....that hurts! I have a $10.00 co pay for Enbrel, and to date, that has not increased. This country needs to address the health care situation on all fronts though, as it won't be long before only the wealthy can afford insurance. My family plan costs me $950+ (close to 1k) per month and now it is supposed to be going up 10-15%!!!! All of this from a company with a 403 million dollar surplus!! Hell, their executives get exclusive country club memberships, and their board members are paid incredibly well considering they really do NOT work! But remember, has a plan that we can put our extra money into a medical savings account! This is making me sick. Kirk Re: Rising Injectable Drug CoPays Yes this is the main reason I can't take it.
