Guest guest
Dear Jeff, My prayers are with you and your family. I'm so sorry to hear of your grandmother's passing - how very lucky for you that you have so many good memories of her life. I always feel like there is a reason for everything. My mother passed away 3 years prior to my father's death. They had been married just short of 50 years. I remember talking for years to siblings that it would be the worst if Mom died first as all of us were closer to her than my Dad. The miracle is that with only my Father left, I learned lots about him and I became very close to him at the end - a gift I'm forever grateful for. I never thought he'd make it that long without my mom, but apparently there was unfinished business that could only be accomplished with my Mother passing first. A very wierd tapestry our lives do make. Love Carole Hi all... Feeling sad today. My grandmother passed away yesterday. I know in my heart it is better for her then to continue in pain. She told my mom she was tired, her body was just so tired. She severe osteo arthritis, the joints in her hands and feet were fused together, plus she recently had two strokes. Get flooded with memories everyonce in awhile, I just try to keep in mind how wonderful she was. She was a great person. this is going to be hard on my grandpa, they were married fifty seven years, and have only been seperated for the one and a half months while she was in the nursing home.
