Guest guest
Did the nail become detached? If so, cut it down as far as you can. That way, no moisture can become trapped under the nail (which is a breeding ground for fungi), and the application of the tea tree oil also becomes easier. I had one of those for months and months. Did not want to go the Dr. route, because the pill they prescribe has horrendous side effects, especially on the liver. ne
Guest guest
Thanks ne. That's exactly how I'm feeling and it's good to hear I'm not weird. I did cut the nail as far as I could and the nail felt strange, like very dead but not quite detached from the toe. And I don't know if I made the mistake, after the soak, to try to clean out under the nail with a file, as I might have irritated it more, but thought I was cleaning out guck. It might have just been old blood clot or something. Can't remember the last time I took any pills, even vitamins - just doesn't feel like something I'd want. I LOVE that food is our medicine, just makes so much more sense. Klarasusanneguirakhoo wrote: Did the nail become detached? If so, cut it down as far as you can. Guest guest
That sounds exactly like my nail, Klara! It eventually went away, took a long time, though. The cleaning out is good, because you get rid of the infected stuff. You might want to disinfect your implements, though, so you don't drag the infection to other nails. Now that I think about it, the advice about cutting out sugar is probably the best. Since I don't go on premenstrual chocolate binges anymore (that was a tough dragon to slay!) I don't have a problem with that anymore. There are no weird people, just ones that follow a different path! ne (apologies to everybody for the graphic content) > > Thanks ne. Guest guest
Klara I said you shouldn't take what they prescribe but find out what it is. I don't see any harm or failure in that. > Did the nail become detached? Guest guest
That's because you don't know me - I am very - not sure what the word is - let's say if there is a debate, and one side argues, I agree with them, then the other side argues, and then I agree with them. I could be easily talked into something I think at this point I wouldn't want - and doctors (with the help of my husband) can indeed be persuasive - and also I always get this feeling doctors do their best to indeed find something. Actually, switching to sandals has helped alot - and being more diligent in putting on the tea tree oil. I really appreciated all the responses. Feels so good that you all care. Guest guest
Hello, and welcome to the group! If you are trying to find a method of sprouting that avoids having to physically rinse your sprouts several times a day, I highly recommend the mikro (micro) farm as seen in the webstore at http://www.mymealmasters.com You fill the tank (you can add GSE, food grade peroxide, or vinegar) to the tank, but it isn't necessary. The fine mist sprays the sprouts (or microgreens, plants, etc) several times throughout the day (you can set how many times) and then the water drains from the unit, so mold buildup potential is eliminated. Being automated, it is great for anyone who isn't home during the day to constantly tend to sprouting-I love mine! > > Hello everybody! Guest guest
Hi Ayrton, I've been sprouting for about 40 years and I have never used GSE, vinegar, hydrogen peroxide or ascorbic acid or anything else that people try to scare other people into using. I soak and drain the seeds rinse them twice a day (not particularly " vigorously " ). And I have never seen any fungus growing on my sprouts during the germination process. Most of the time when people think they are seeing mold they are seeing root hairs, which is a natural part of plant root growth. Sprouting is simple and easy. Remember K.I.S.S. if you overcomplicate something you're probably doing it wrong. If they are trying to scare you they are trying to sell you something you don't need. (And they are ALWAYS trying to scare you. Just look at the news.) Lee > Hello everybody! Guest guest
Same here, Lee, except my sprouting experience only spans 35 years. Guest guest
Same here, too, but I'm only at 17 years for sprouting. I have never felt like I was unsanitary to need to do these other things. Guest guest
Hi everybody. I was out for a while work on these valuable information I got here. Thank you so much! I discovered that GSE can " hurt " seeds and increase the possibility of fungal/bacterial growth inside. After removing my sprouts from the freezer, I am putting the in the sun light. Is it good? How can I sprout linseed? > > Hello everybody!
