I'm sorry to say I didn't get my pic taken with him or my book

signed - I really am a shy creature and I hate to be in the public

eye. After the show, people could stay behind (a couple of hundred

did by the looks) and they were going to continue filming - I do not

want my mug shot on one of his shows on the telly so I slunk out of

there. I actually only expected a couple of hundred people there but

there were 1,200 and I shovelled my way in and as I was on my own,

found a nice seat in the centre of the second row so I got to look

him in the eye. First thing I noticed was he is getting a pudgy

face, but cute. It was very entertaining. He said the last time he

was here 5 years ago, Poppy was conceived so Jools was too scared to

come with him in case she got pregnant. He did a lot of audience

participation and I think I got some lousy photos on my stupid little

digital - will download tomorrow and see. He cooked about 6 dishes

and I brought the programme with the recipes. Lots of Italian

flavour. Mel you will be pleased to hear he did one amazing salad

with buffalo mozzerella, proscuitto, fresh figs, meslun, lemon &

balsamic dressing - it looked devine. It was a really good arvo and

for those of you celebrity stalkers, he's staying at the Park Hyatt

until Sat morn when he flies to Melb....
