God bless Pat _______________________________________________ Pat, Patience!!! what is that???!!!! My left arm has that hole and if I raise my arm up and drop it air gets in the incision and it sounds like a whoopee cushion. Since the surgery I haven't had any gas or diarrhea...Maybe fixing the hernia did something??Go figure. But now I make weird noises other ways...It pours serrous fluids. I keep thinking about that be careful what you ask for because you might just get it!! Bad part is tho........Now that I can see my thighs looking down, they look a whole lot worse than I remember...How pathetic is that?? ... I've been waiting for that!!!!! Do you remember us Post tummy tucks talking about how when you get something fixed it makes something else look really bad...like thighs or puddlebutts. It's not pathetic..it's normal...lol...or that is what I want to believe because it happened to me. Hope your feeling better soon and you stop leaking all over the place. It does get better...and I think in the long run you will be happy you did it all at once and just got it over with. Instead of having another post-op period to go through. Hugs Kristy ________________________________________________ Kristy, The Bad news is the tummy at the " T " incision is opening up. I got a sterile Q tip and probed it last inght and the hole is about 1 inch deep and I fear will grow because the area at the staples are pulling, the holes are stretched. Damn! Can't I do anything easy? (dripping from everywhere- I feel like the swampthing)

Guest guest
I tried lots of things. Most of them just made it worse. What finally worked was..heat...air...vasiline gauze....heat...air...gauze. The tricky part was letting it get air and then covering it up with out it being either too moist or having the gauze stick! I hope yous heals soon. I think it took me about 10 weeks to heal. Guest guest
.. I mean Plastering Kotex to your belly isn't the most positive thing....Not to mention the tape burns and the yeast infections around the wound on the skin. Mel, I believe it was you that posted the above....If not I apolize...anyway....try new born diapers, the inexpensive kind, they work wonders. Used them on my healing open wound from gall bladder surgery. Long story. If you are at the Delano meeting tonite, will tell you about it. I even cut them in half as the wound closed up.... To all that is attending tonites meeting, I will be there. Didnt think I could make it, but things worked out so Im coming down this afternoon, spending the nite and having my consult tomorrow at 9 a.m. I am so ready for my journey to begin, I cant sit still.... See you all tonite, Keyes Stockton

Jo scratching my head trying to remember cuz I guess I didn't write it down _________________________________________________________ Wednesday will be a week post op. She did Great. Only had a few pain pills. She seems to have good sensation in the area, Because when we were changing the dressings she said it tickled around the nipple area. She looks so much better. she tried on her Formal from last year and it looked so good when we compared with the pics we took at the Spring concert. She is thrilled with the results....I'm jealous! She was very mature acting for a 17 year old. So many her age do as they please and don't listen to the docs. I did have to fuss at her once when she raised her arms over her head and was so proud she did it, I told her the doc said Not to do it, Not that she wouldn't be able..(does that make sense?) they took 500 from one breast and 900 from another. I didn't realize how much difference in the 2 there was. I guess when your that big what's a 400 difference? Guest guest
Thanks for the update on , . I wondered how she was doing. I'm glad to see that she is doing so well and how mature she is in caring for herself. And, yes, you were clear when you said " I told her the doc said Not to do it, Not that she wouldn't be able! " Did she believe you? Hugs and blessings, Ann
Guest guest
I'm glad to hear 's surgery went well. I personally have never understood the desire of some to " create " mammoth breast. I totally understand the desire to have a reduction. Nice 'normal' sized breast makes a world of difference in how we feel physically (especially as we age) and how we look in cloths and how we feel emotionally. I'm glad she is pleased with the results! Hugs Jo

Guest guest
Hiya Mel It's tough, I know it is. I gave up alcohol like you gave up the ciggies - just stopped about 6 years ago. It hasn't bothered me; although sometimes I feel like a wowser when out with friends. But I certainly don't miss the hang overs that seemed to be lasting longer and longer. I was given a beautiful bottle of red when I had my 5th anniversary here at work. I wont drink it, even when I did drink red gave me heartburn, but its something I will just keep. In any case, I know how you feel. I don't want to give up things that I know I have to. I am not loosing weight like I should be. I am not doing some things right, all the easy things that I could and should do I don't. I ate a good meal of those ribs last night, but I still had dessert. I shouldn't have had it – it went down it didn't cause me bothers, but I still did it. New diet starts today! Nx
Guest guest
Hello Mel, you are very busy on Sydband. I read all your mails, you keep things going. Really great. I think I will have a lot more to say, when I get banded. Or at least, when I have the date. But everything is so unsure, it drives me mad sometimes. You wont belive it how many times I rang the surgery to find out how many are still in front of me. From January I had 7 in front of me, to now with 3 in front you can tell how fast the system works. It is kind of depressing. But I keep going. Food still taste good to me ...hahahah All the best for you from Sabine -------Original Message-------
Guest guest
Crumpets - yum. I didn't think I'd be able to digest those, but now I'm just going to have to race out and buy a pack and try out. I'm one of the lucky ones and can usually eat a little in the morning and lately at night I have not been able to eat much real food, but then I get into the cruskits with pate or cheese and tomato or whatever and they slip down easy. You sound like your situation is more the norm than not, especially when you are nearing a good restriction. I wonder if the band is effected by weather/temps. It seems to be such a fickle thing when it comes to stress or illness, then there are the can eat days and can't eat days - gosh you could fill an encyclopedia with all the different things that this band does to some of us and lots of stories would be different. We are a special little group with our tummy buddy that would have to be classified as " female " because it can be quite unpredictable!!! I say go with the flow and enjoy the good days - crumpets - oh yum - did I already say that ....... Ciao Cherie
