Guest guest
I was Senior Tech/Tech Trainer for CVS. The ONLY thing the pharmacies care about is how many scripts they process per day. The amount determines pay raises and $$$$ amount for yearly bonuses and promotions. ALL are driven to get the drugs in and out as quickly as possible. On days when someone called in sick it was a nightmare. I remember one time where both techs called in sick as well as the Pharmacist. It was me and a floater Pharmacist The two of us worked from 10:00am to 11:00pm non stop with pissed off people yelling at us all day long. I didn't care about the sick people and their meds! I did have a soft spot for Senior Citizens and would go the extra mile for them. My thoughts were hey your an adult with a problem that is supposed to be taken care of by you. All I do is get the meds and sell them. When things are back ordered we fax the Doctor for alternatives but they rarely respond. We assume they call the patient. There are way to many sick people going to a pharmacy to care about each and every one. The people who got the best fault free service were the ones who took control of their medication protocol to ensure things went without a hitch. A pharmacy is not going to hold your hand and do it for you. I know I see the stupid pharmacy adds on TV and its a joke. Sorry to be so hard but it really used to piss me off that few took responsibility for their medication protocol. > > > Subject: meds > To: Hepatitis_C_Central > Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008, 9:18 AM > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi > Don in kansas here. > My Pharm has more than once had to order or chase down my meds.Sometimes it pisses me off, other times I just have to work around it. > Try to remain calm.
