I cannot have more than 60 grams of combined animal and vegetable protein per day. I was never a big meat eater so this was easy. It was a pain measuring and weighing my meat and keeping track of how many grams are in what food but there is a great website that can help. That was months ago and now I can pretty much eye my food and know what is best. I don't know if its working because I have not has a ammonia test lately but it has increased my Albumin levels which is a really good thing :)I was getting really bad and my ammonia levels were steadily going up from a start point of 44 to 77 in one month. I take the Rx lactulose, 2 tablespoons twice a day. I don't know if it helps with the encepholapty or ammonia levels but it sure makes you poop your brains out :)The memory issues are FRUSTRATING! It takes me 3 or 4 hours to grocery shop where it used to take 1 hour. I spend so much time wandering around trying to find stuff or remember what the heck I wanted to say or do, that my days go by and I feel like I have accomplished almost nothing BUT I was busy all day long LMAO. Its funny and we joke about this allot. I could do a whole comedy routine and be a smash hit. You have got to keep a good attitude about the brain farts or brain fog as we heppers call it.I wanted to to give you more info but dang it I forgot what I was going to say ROTFLMAO
