Guest guest
I'm having such a good time with these sunflower sprouts. I should have made 2 batches my first time out but now I know. I shall be sprouting these for quite some time. I'd like to know how you stagger the growing process so you always have some available. And I didn't wait for the hulls to come off easy. I wanted to taste these so I cut them off at the root, and I patiently (it was easy) just took the hulls off one by one. I didn't have a lot left so I coud do this. But now I know. Let them grow until I can take my hands and gently shake many loose and then just pick them off. See, I'm learning!!! lol Melody > > > > > > > > Thanks very much for all your help > > > > I even sang the Happy Music song. > > > > lol > > > > Melody > > >
Guest guest
I start a new batch every other day, so I always have plenty growing. I also pull their " hats " off while they are still growing, I just pluck a few at a time each time I walk past them. It is therapeutic, lol. > > > > > > > > > > > > Thanks very much for all your help > > > > > > I even sang the Happy Music song. > > > > > > lol > > > > > > Melody > > > > > >
Guest guest
Very good, that's what I'll do. And I wish (when I first started doing these sunflower sprouts), that I put up 3 batches instead of one. I'm devouring these with my other sprouts. I have never tasted these before. I have also never seen sunflower sprouts offered for sale (you know, like they sell Broccoli sprouts and radish sprouts (by the Sproutman). My local ShopRite sells these. I haven't bought them because I grow my own. But I know I have never seen sunflower sprouts for sale in those little packages. Have you? Melody P.S. You'll be DELIGHTED to know that this morning, one of the waitresses was listening to me talk about my sunflower adventure and she was asking me questions. I said 'would you like me to post a video on your FB wall? " She said " Sure " . I just did. lol Slowly, WE ARE GETTING THE WORD OUT!!! > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Thanks very much for all your help > > > > > > > > I even sang the Happy Music song. > > > > > > > > lol > > > > > > > > Melody > > > > > > > > > >
