I think that in Chinese culture black food is supposed to have some type of healing power, they love those chickens that have the black flesh and black bones. My grandfather and uncles and now cousins were all butchers. (I'm the black sheep of the family because I'm a vegetarian.) I saw a lot of strange food growing up, blood sausage, head cheese, pickled pigs feet, cow tongue was a regular meal. Have you seen that kid Remy on YouTube? He's braver than Melody or me.
