Yay! I did it, Kathy Step Aerobics, I didn't feel like exercising again, but I thought of how long it would take before I could fit into my regular clothing if I didn't and that got me moving. I exercised for 59 minutes was in my target heart rate zone for 22 minutes and burned 465 calories. I am now doing the advanced section again; it feels good to be back at it.

Hope you all had great workouts today,

Kerry

Hi Kerry,

I'm catching up as usual. This is awesome! I love how you used the clothes for your motivation, gotta remember that one. You did extremely well too, so cool that you're doing the advanced section again, you are amazing!!!

Hi Geoff,

Good workout! I should plan a retro week. Where do you live that it has been rainy? I'm in land (D.C. suburbs) and we have had a very rainy and relatively cool summer. I couldn't believe that yesterday it wasn't even in the 80's. Nice weather, but unusual for here when it being hot, humid and gross on 4th of July is pretty normal (but still, better for me than cold!)

Take care,

Donna.

Hi Ladies! For Friday July 3rd It was a flash back to the 80's as I did the floor exercises from Jane Fonda's new workout advanced section. I feel I'm making enough progress that next Friday I'm going to do The Firm Sculpted Bun, Hips, and Thighs. It's about a year and a half since I've done that tape and I have always loved it and felt it challenged me and really toned my body. In a few minutes I'm going to go into the pool and swim for about 15 or so minutes. For once it's not raining!!Last night I did some ballet exercises from a ballet book I have but that was only about 5min or so. Geoff

Hi Everyone,Summer on the East Coast/Mid-Atlantic this year has been great, hasn't it? Here in the D.C. suburbs it has been phenomenal - warm, but not humid - we have even turned the A/C off at times! Usually by this time we're drenched in sweat and humidity. I hope it lasts for the rest of the summer.Anyway, this morning I did 's 4 Big Miles - I interspersed a set of push-ups (20 to 25), pull-downs (20), and squats (15, slow controlled, excellent form!) in between each mile and after the cool down. I have been struggling to do my push-up challenge this summer and inspired me to try doing them this way - it worked great - they didn't seem as dreadful either since there were periods of 10-15 minutes in between each set. I wore the 2 lb weighted belt for 3 of the miles, I took

it off for the one that had the jogging intervals (Mile 3, I think). I kept it on for push-ups and squats so I figured that added some extra resistance there as well. I like the weighted belt a lot - it doesn't throw off my upper body form like handweights can sometimes. I do wish offered a slightly heavier version though - 2lbs doesn't seem that much. I'll have to search around for some options.Afterwards, I finished up with a recorded CS - I think it was the anti-aging workout from the 07 series. It was definately more focused on stretching and felt wonderful.oh - yesterday I did manage to get Poolside in from the Express DVD. I'm really noticing that I'm able to focus more on the form, so I feel that I'm getting more out of it. I'm also using CS "form" when doing my 's - particularly the arm movements. It is definately upping the challenge.Hope everyone has a good Friday!Donna
