However, if the parent submits a note on the first day of school or during registration that you would like your child EXCLUDED from corporal punishment, then they can not use it for that particular child. My parents did it 15 years ago when I was going to school here in Texas, so I think it's a rule that's been around for a while. One hour ago I got a call from in Delano, telling me she had called my doc's office 3 times this week asking for a letter stating I was fit for surgery. I said I could get it in the morn on my way to Delano. No, that wasn't good enuf, it had to be faxed today. I called my doc's office... it was closed. BUT they did offer to page him. I waited 30 minutes. They called back to say that he didn't have my chart with him, so he couldn't do anything til morning. I said that was ridiculous, that he'd known I was fit for surgery since August. I called . THEIR office is closed. BUT the service offered to get Dee for me. Soon my phone rang, and it was Michele. Now she says I can have my doc fax it in the morning. Then Dee came on the line... she had told michele to call me, not realizing how late it was. So after 9 tomorrow morning I will go down and wait for him to come in, then watch him write the correct wording and fax it... before I drive to Delano. I have been hyserical for an hour. (He should take my B/P right about now!!! Now I'm just plain mad. Fortunately my friend stopped by at about 5:10 and scolded me, and prayed for me/with me. I expect this will be my last writing. My friend said I needed to trust in HIM that He wouldn't let my surgery be postponed. I failed to do that. Everything is agonna be alright.
