Guest guest
So when they arrive, I'll start sprouting and I can't wait. I've been wanting to do this because they look absolutely lovely in 's video. And of course, when I do this, I'll MAKE A VIDEO. lol Melody
Guest guest
Where did you end up ordering from? I have ordered sunflower seeds from Handy Pantry, their shipping price is better to my area, but I sometimes order from Sprout People. It is impossible to find unhulled sunflower seeds in the market or stores here - not available. :/ I have asked our hfs, and they say no. Sometime in the distant future we are slated for a Whole Foods, maybe then. Guest guest
Hi to both of you. I got one pound from The Sprouthouse. With free shipping. If I like doing this of course I'll hunt around for a better deal. But I've purchased from them before and they are reputable. I got the Baby black sunflower sprouting seeds. Should be a blast!! Guest guest
Simone, How far is the nearest Whole Foods? If not far, maybe you could do a day trip with your family. You can eat a nice, very healthy lunch in a Whole Foods Market. Are there health foods stores in your neighborhood? Some have seeds for sprouting. Make sure the stores are clean and not too warm. ew Re: I just ordered my sunflower seeds Where did you end up ordering from? Guest guest
Hi EW, The closest Whole Foods is in ton which is 3 hrs each way from here. I go about once a year to stock up on certain things, but it's not a feasible day trip for me at this time with an invalid at home. We only have one health food store here and I am longtime friends with the owners and already know they will not carry them. So it's fine to order all my sprouting seeds online for now and if WF ever does come, that would be heavenly. Rumor has it that the building has been purchased, but I've been hearing that for a couple of years now and drove by there the other day and it is still an abandoned car dealership. Actually, I used to carry sprouting seeds in my business (seeds from Frontier and Handy Pantry sprouters) but discontinued it a few years ago.
