Good Morning All,

Just my two cents: adzuki bean sprouts are nearly identical to mung bean sprouts

as they are only separated by color. Adzuki sprouts may tend to have a bit more

purple in them but taste like mung sprouts to me when they are cooked. Yummy!

Sproutingly,

LOL LOL LOL

MUNG BEANS.

Here in Brooklyn, they are called BEAN SPROUTS. Been calling them bean sprouts

ever since I can remember. Same things as you find in big sacks when you go into

an asian market. Or, you can buy them(as mung beans) already in the packages,

OR, you can go online to the sprout websites and buy organic mung beans. THEN

SPROUT THEM.

So, no to adzuki beans, and YES to mung beans.

But I would imagine you can throw anything you want into this mix. So try it.

Thanks, Melody and .

Glad to hear that it's mung beans, Melody. Seems I have better luck

sprouting them than the adzuki - they just sprout faster for me. I like to

cook the adzuki and use them in salads though, so they have their purpose as

well!

(As an aside that is not related to sprouting but is related to my being

happy, LOL . . . I just found out I sold another painting at the gallery

where I've had some work for several months!! This is a very nice

post-holiday present for me!!).

Ok, enough about me , let's now talk about my favorite sprout that I have

going right now - lentils, LOL!! Just kidding!! I have a house to clean up

today plus a bunch of other stuff, so it's busy, busy here today. Back to

work in a couple of days so now's the time to get 'er done!!
