Guest guest
Hi. I am greening up the latest batch (to which I added broccoli, fenugreek, and Alfalfa). Then I checked what makes up the French Mix and it has fenugreek already in it. I had forgotten about that. So this batch has added fenugreek (which I happen to LOVE in my salads). So here's what my latest batch looks like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vifnJ9HM04A Melody > > Melody; > > I am curious about the taste of the French Garden Mix - have not tried it > yet. Guest guest
I have been a sprouter for years. My wife was slow to to them. About five years ago, I got French Garden Mix as part of a promotion and sprouted it. My wife tasted it and fell in love with it. Since then, she has been trying different things ans is eating more and more sprouts. One day we had a couple of grand kids here for lunch. My wife was making sandwiches. All of my grandchildren love my sprouts. We she went to the fridge to get sprouts for the sandwiches, all there was was fenugreek. She told the kids, " The good ones are all gone. So we'll have to eat these " . That was my clue to never run out of French Garden again. PS: You will love them too. ew Re: French Garden Mix Melody; I am curious about the taste of the French Garden Mix - have not tried it yet. Guest guest
EW; Thank you for the French Garden Mix recommendation. I am fairly new to sprouting - sprout and eat broccoli only. I purchased some fenugreek, chai and adzuki beans recently and am totally in agreement with your wife - Yuk to the fenugreek. Tried the adzuki and not really my taste. The chai jelled and I have not gone back and experimented so about all that I do successfully is the broccoli and mung beans very occasionally. Will add the French Garden mix to my next order. Thanks Kate   ________________________________ To: sproutpeople Sent: Sat, July 16, 2011 10:44:32 AM Subject: Re: Re: French Garden Mix  I have been a sprouter for years. Guest guest
Kate, Just sprout the adzuki for about fur days and then toss it into a pot and make soup. You'll like them better that way. ew Re: Re: French Garden Mix EW; Thank you for the French Garden Mix recommendation. I am fairly new to sprouting - sprout and eat broccoli only. Guest guest
Fenugeek is great mixed in with other sprouts! I pull them out singly often (they are taller than the others in my groupings) and eat it. They are great in mixes and small amounts. Lots of crunch. Bet those grand-kids who have not noticed if they had not be warned. Kids like " crunch " .
