I have taken Karac to class with me several times, and the kids have

loved him. One time I would ask a student a question and let Karac give

him a gummie bear if he answered correctly. Karac enjoyed giving reinforcers.

Karac has some stilts that are red and have funny feet. I have let him walk

into class on them. He is very good at it; he can even walk up and down stairs

on them. He lets some of the young men try and they are always impressed with

the fact that they aren't as good at it as Karac.

Oh, I have done this when we are talking about Skinner and positive reinforcement.

I work at a high school and a lot of time the "girls" There go to dinner together and i don't go with them because I am dealing with JJ. I get the feeling that they look at me with that "That is so sad" look and they don't have a clue what I deal with. I mean I tell them about J but they really don't get it.

That sounds like he has a great time visiting your class! So nice that you can do that for him. the stilts sound amazing. How did he learn to do that!?

I love Skinner...you know Pat K, you speak my language!!! We almost have the same degree or do we... LOL.....Since says mine is the 3rd degree probably not. LOL, LOL NO I think we do....

Oh, yes, as I recall we both have a degree in Sociology, right?

I'm teaching sociology this semester; last semester I taught

psychology.

My Ph.D. is interdisciplinary in Psy. Soci, and Human Developemnt.

It took me 10 years to finish. I really didn't intend to finish, but my kids

said it was getting embarrassing because their friends were saying, "Hasn't

your mother finished that degree yet? She has been working on it forever." LOL

was so happy that I finally finished that he bought me the license plate

I love it Pat K...yes my degree is in sociology, with lots of social work and criminology in there too ---- gereatrics...I took it all cause I wasn't sure what I would choose for my Masters....

You don't need to apologize; Sometimes my spelling makes me look illiterate. LOL.

I originally was going to go in the field of social work, but I got pregnant with Karac's

father and couldn't do the practicum.

My middle daughter has her Master's in social work. I think I told you that she is

director of social services for the Salvation Army for the state of Texas. She just

won their national award.

You would make an outstanding social worker; You would be outstanding at whatever

you would want to be. Right now you are an outstanding mother.

How is today? Karac did awesome at SpiritHorse (they did have it). This was

one of his very good days.

I gave him the stilts for Christmas one year. He didn't pay too much

attention to them. The next thing I knew he was walking on them.

I think he practiced in his room when he was by himself and didn't

let me see him until he knew how.

They have been an attention getter for him and other guys like

to try them. It makes Karac feel good about himself. Pat K
