Ok, two random thoughts. First of all, I noticed quite a few of the kids here are taking gymnastics. K has been taking it since she was 2, she's nearly 9 now. When I first took her to be assessed at 5, she needed OT for executive function issues, large motor skills, etc. It seems like now all of those issues are gone, PTL! She had an OT assessment in February and didn't qualify for in office therapy. She's on the team now and experienced her first competitive season this past year!On a totally different note, is anyone else on Facebook? I thought it would be nice to see each other and share pics/videos of our kids. Kiara

LOL I use it for networking but it's amazing how many people that I used to know

are also on there. I've got over 300 friends now and yes some of them are old

boyfriends (much to the dismay of my current boyfriend!) LOL

Celeste,

It took several years but I did gradually start seeing her balance improve,

better coordination, etc, especially within the last year when her practice time

increased to 7+ hours a week.

I'm Kiara on facebook, I'll invite you to be a friend! I have plenty of

pics of K and also a couple of her gymnastics videos on there.

It sounds perfect! When K was in preschool she was in some pretty small classes

and often it would be just her and another child in class. During that time she

made the most progress!

lisa i'm in nashville, tn. That's so cool that you coach! My daughter's gym

does the Prep Optionals, are you familiar with that? She's a Prep Op 1. It's

the equivalent of a Level 4 in skill but they are able to choose their own

routines. I'll look for you on Facebook!

Yes i know prep op. I used to be the head coach of levels 4 to elite. But

stepped over to head the prep program ( which I love ) because I needed more

time home with my son. Its the best sport ever and so good for girls confidence.

I love seeing the girls become close and cheer eachother on. My best frienships

came from my team mates at gym..
