Guest guest
Darcy I really liked your idea of a kbq. So last night I decided to come up with a 20 minute routine of my own. Lots of swings and clean and presses, Russian twists, and then the move I am not sure what it is called where you do a back lunge and pass the kb under the knees. I was moving at a good pace and really worked up a sweat, and got my heart rate where it should be too. I think your idea is a great one! I like the name too! After that I did some of Cathe's leg work on Muscle Max and some great inner thigh exercises I got from a personal trainer that has his own group. All in all a decent workout. Thanks for the idea! Guest guest
I'm glad you bought the 45 pounder. Some days you'll feel stronger. Plus, you probably wont want to use it for everything. I like using my heaviest bells for dead cleans and that one legged deadlift from KB Way. Some day I'm gonna own one too. You just had an off day, but you kicked butt for an off day. Guest guest
Hey Darcy, Don't feel bad, we all have off days - maybe you just needed an extra rest day? Donna Subject: KBQTo: "cathefans" <cathefans >, "exercisevideos" <exercisevideos >Date: Sunday, May 24, 2009, 3:03 PM Well, I couldn't go another day, I had to get a kettlebell workout in. However, I'm not so glad I did now. OMG, I must have lost some ground or something because I got smoked bad. UGH... Not a good workout, I just was wiped out from the first swing to the last squat. Oh well. I burned 251 calories and my average was 151. I worked my booty off. Guest guest
Thanks Donna. I don't know. I had been away from my kettlebell for a few days trying to take a recovery week from them... I'm sure the distractions of my dh and boys didn't help either. Oh well, it was intense, and I did complete it! Darcy Don't feel bad, we all have off days - maybe you just needed an extra rest day? Guest guest
I got my new one today. It was nice because they had a lot of different sizes in the store. So I could kind of play around with them. It was empty and the weights were in the back so I tried swings with a 45# and could do them. As far as anything with the arms tho beyond a curl it wasn't going to happen:-) I debated about getting a 25# but realized for now a 20# would be best for all the different exercises. So I have already started a change jar to save up for the 25# when I am ready. I was too tired when I got home tonight to play with any weights so I will be trying it out with my dvd tomorrow- Thanks . No, I recovered fine. I just pushed hard...
