I was born and bred in Canberra... and Lake was always the "light at the end of the tunnel" after a trip to see the relo's in Sydney. It used to take about 6 hours to drive to Canberra back in my early childhood... In the back of the EH holden station wagon where Mum & Dad put a matress for us two girls to sleep on.... More memories! My dad used to row on Lake ... and I remember when there were sheep grazing in the main street of Canberra... my first memories are of cherry blossoms and sheep in the park!
