Guest guest
Welcome Roni! Where in nyc are you from? I've been living in new orleans since '82, but I'm a native of the upper west side of manhattan. This is a great place for support and motivation. ;-) F > Hi all, > > since this seems like introduction day, here's my own: > > My name is Roni, I just joined the list yesterday. > Today I finished my first 21 DC on the Basic from the live series. Guest guest
Hey , Some strange ways lead people to the places they end up in.... I hear you about the prices here, it is nuts, but Queens is WAY better then Manhattan. I have friends that live in Manhattan but order all their groceries from Brookline! they say with the shipment and handling costs, it is still less then HALF then what they would pay in the grocery store on the corner! amazing town indeed. Talk to you soon Re: Another Newbie > Hey , > > Why did you leave NY? > I was married to a guy who was accepted by Tulane Law School. We had been married for 1-1/2 years, and had been having problems, before the move, and broke up 6 weeks after the move. I was too worn out to consider moving back. Then, I entered graduate school at Tulane School of Social Work. The swamp has me stuck! LOL While I love ny, I don't want to live there anymore...too frantic a pace, and WAY too expensive!!! My profession is not a high-paying one, and I couldn't live comfortably in ny unless I were a multi-millionaire (of which there is little chance!) Don't be shy with us...we're a friendly bunch! ;-) F As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step. Guest guest
Hey Janick, Considering the fact I grew up in a Kibbutz in Israel NYC is a huge difference indeed Maybe that's because I am not an American (live here for less then 6 months so far) but I don't get it: why is everyone so intimidated by NYC????? And about my insecurity - well, it melts down in such friendly environments. really, amazing bunch of people around here. Third thing, you mentionned in another email that you were insecure... how the heck can you live in NYC and feel insecure??? Just thinking about NYC makes me insecure... LOL. Guest guest
I must tell you I adore your spirit. I must have read your post on the board at least 10 times. As a newbie, it feels sometimes like joining a cult wothout knowing you did, and suddenly finding yourself in the middle of something much bigger then you expected. Your post was like a translation, in a way. 's book does the same to me and this group too. You must be an amazing person to be able to say " I am not ready " when you want something so much. Re: Another Newbie > > I can't tell you how welcome and happy you guys made me feel. are yoi the > same that took the weekend training last week? Roni, Yup, that's me It was truly an amazing experience I think after October that will be holding training camps all over the US and I'm sure that NYC will be on his list! So, at least you might get a chance to do a live workout with him It's true we definitely talk a lot here....LOL....sometimes it's hard to keep up! But, that's what makes it such a great group to be a part of As Deb has said: " Fitness is a journey and it begins with the first step.
