Guest guest
Dear colleagues, Would any of you know what the words in caps below mean? I am translating a book named 'Medical Microbiology' from English into Brazilian Portuguese. On this specific chapter, the author talks about Gram-negative bacilli, more specifically 'Pseudomonas pseudomallei': " This is the causative organism of melioidosis which is found in South-East Asia, Australia and rarely in Africa. It is an environmental saprophyte found in warm, standing water such as paddy fields... Acute infection is characterized by acute or chronic pneumonia from which septicaemia may develop or arise de novo. Multiple abscesses may develop in SKIN BONE and other organs including liver and brain " . Thank you for any suggestions. Vera Vera Luiza V.
