YEP! (And sometimes that goes for Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday :-). But that

wouldn't have sounded the same in the song, obviously!

Only Monday would work as it is a working person's song and going back to work

on Monday after a weekend was the pitts.  Or going back to school for kids.

In fact, I might have been a kid when I first heard the song so it has a long,

long life.  Now i'm retired and good thing about Monday is that everything, or

almost everything, is open.

Seems that no matter how much you like the job, Monday is still the pitts.  Or

I didn't like the job well enough to overcome it.  I think it was just having

to go someplace.  I don't schedule appointments on Monday unless I absolutely

have to.  The rest of the week is enough time.  Monday does force one to get

out of bed though and sometimes that is needed on a Monday.

Mel-go to HSN.COM and type " earthbox " in the search-you should be able to watch

a video of it online. I have several, and I think you would love them!

With sunnies, that's a good thing. Cut them off as they get big enough and the

slower ones will fill in and then cut them

Just give it a good wash in hot water, then spray or rinse it with peroxide or

GSE (grapefruit seed extract) As an extra precaution, it never hurts to

disinfect it between uses-GSE is a great sanitizer.

You get GSE at any health food store. It is VERY concentrated-super stuff. We

don't use any type of medications in our house, but use GSE as a natural

antibiotic, when needed. It is antiviral, antifungal, antibiotic, wound

cleaner, santizer, etc. Can be taken internally or used for other things. I

was able to clean a HUGE mold problem behind the wall in my bathroom with

it-good stuff to have on hand for many things. I use Nutribiotic brand. I mix

a few drops in a spray bottle full of water and use it as my main household

cleaner.

No, it has no smell whatsoever-tastes VILE though, lol-very strong, bitter.

When I want citrus scent, I either simmer a piece of lemon, lime or grapefruit

on the stovetop or in a crockpot, or I juice one, peel and all in my vitamix,

and add that to my cleaner spray.

I got an aerogarden. Its grow light is flourescent which emits mercury for sure

just like others of its kind. Then i got another electric planter that has an

aerator to pump oxygen only. This one has no light and must sit on south facing

window. It is great, no need for light, and it has a timer when you want the

water to spray the seeds. After i was successful with this, i put a table maybe

14 inches in width and 30 inches in length that sets right at the tip of the

window will, so it is like an extension of the window. There i put my

aerogarden without light and am now successfully growing bok choy.

I am thinking of going to a fish store, buy an aerator small one used for fish

tanks and then use it in a planter resembling an aerogarden. I am thinking of

using dishwasher basket and just put plastic support for the coconut coir down

it. I can also just use a sponge.

I think it's absolutely fascinating that you guys know what direction your

windows are facing. I wouldn't know if my living room window is facing east or

west, if my kitchen window is facing....duh!! wherever it's facing.

I do remember that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west, so when I'm

sitting on my front porch and look up (to the right), the sun is blaring down on

me. So what is my living room window facing (same as porch), east, southeast,

????

LOL-the DOLLAR stores have compasses! Strap it to Alan's forehead and let him

wander around the house while you video him!

The ipad has EVERYTHING you can imagine on it! You can hold it up at the sky

and it will tell you exactly what star or planet you are aiming it at. I keep

looking for the button that does dishes and laundry...don't think they have an

ap for that :(

>

> Look for the sun and the time and where it is in the sky.  That gives you an

idea of east and west anyway.  I also look to the sunset and that tells us the

west.  But when can't see them it can be confusing.  I wonder if my new

emergency light which has an emergency radio, happens to have a compass.  I'll

have to check.  It should have one, shouldn't it?

Well, I magnetized the needle. Did exactly as the guy on youtube did it and all

it did for over 60 seconds was go around the bowl as it floated in the water.

Still don't know which way is North.

lol, Melody

Okay, I shall re-experment and come back later on in the day and video you all

of my findings.

How exciting. I'm making compasses, growing sunflowers and pea shoots and all in

my 64th year.

I wonder if I'll be on the moon when I'm 70.

lol

you let go of it.

When I was a deputy Sheriff, I wore a compass necklace, as directions were

important, but I never could get the hang of it-working a permanant midnight

shift kept the sun out of the equation, lol. Now, as an avid gardener, I just

pay attention to what spots in my garden get the best sun during the day, and I

know JUST the spot where my solar oven can cook dinner while I am out wandering!

montain that I can see is Mt. San and its due north. Secondly, when I'm

in my back yard, the sun sets right in the middle of the back wall, ergo, West.

LOL, what is funny, is that I sprouted and drank green smoothies WHILE I was a

cop! The other cops were all driniking coffee making fun of me and my green

" sludge " . I could outlast any of them on a midnight shift!
