Guest guest
Hi pongu, Tell me what you are doing and I'll see if I can help. But first, are the seeds good for sprouting? Have they been processed as use for something else? ew soy sprouts? Ive just started sprouting and find it so satisfying that I can make fresh greens in my kitchen all year. Ive recently purchased a few organic non GMO soy beans but having trouble getting them to sprout....any tips? pongu
Guest guest
Thanks for offering to help EW. The soy beans are from a bulk bin at the local healthfood store. I soaked them for about 4 hours and now rinsing a few times a day, but no signs of sprouting and its been 5 days.. maybe I should toss them and quickly spout some blackeyed peas for newyears good luck? pongu
Guest guest
Thanks for the soybean tips...I think they will end up in the soup pot, however I do see a few tails but not wHat I was going for. There is a Korean recipe I wanted to try. Its only made with soybeansprouts and I know that most if not all soy is genetically modified here in the US so I didnt want to buy commercially produced sprouts....oh well. As for the Texas blackeyed peas...I lived in Arlington a long time ago and have carried the tradition for these many years. Nothing better than a big bowl of blackeyed peas on New Years day. Oh, and the raw humus recipe looks fantastic. Cant wait to try that! Happy New Year my fellow sprouters! Pongu
