Hi, it is my understanding that soya beans are not easy to sprout, though I

have managed to grow them using a FreshLife sprouter. I did not do it again

as they did not grow to the length I expected, like those we can buy from

the markets. May be soya beans also like to grow in the dark too.

You don't have to toss them unless they smell bad or are slimy. Otherwise, make

soup.

Four hours is not long enough of a soak. Soak for at least twelve. I don't

sprout soy anymore because I like other things better. But, when I did, I

sprouted them in a colander. Soak the beans in a jar or bowl, with plenty of

water. Pour beans in to a colander with small holes. Rinse. Place colander on

something they can drain on – I use an old Tupperware bowl that I ruined in

the microwave. Cover with a light colored towel. Rinse and drain twice a day.

The beans should have a tail in just two days. I also sprouted them in a hemp

bag, but they don't like to be crowded and they got smelly real fast.

Try your beans once more. And don't forget. Soup is good.

of sprouting and its been 5 days..

LOL, I'm from Marshall. And we always had black eyed peas on New Years.
