Guest guest
oh, Kellie, my heart goes out to you and at this time. I can only imagine how hard this must be. I am praying for you, and MIL. She is so blessed to have you for a DIL. I wish I had a DIL like you. Love and blessings,Pat K Thank you all for your prayers, My MIL is still not awake and they haven't been able to remove the vent. The surgery went fine but we are now very concerned because of her diabetes and the fact that she is still not coming around. Please continue to pray for her and the people taking care of her. She is such a wonderful woman with a very deep faith. She managed to raise 5 boys who are all good loving christians strong in their faith and commitment to family. An example of the woman she is comes to mind. When was a baby and we lived closer she stopped by one day. She could see I was embarrassed because my house was messy, not dirty just messy (her house is immaculate, she even dusts the base boards). She just looked at me and said "One regret I have is that I spent so much time keeping things clean, I wish I had spent that time playing with my children, dust will always be there but they grow so quickly. That's just how my generation did things". She is such a wonderful role model for all of us. She is so wonderful to and he has always had a very special place in her heart, and her in his. This family does not need another loss, we lost my mother this summer and still doesn't understand, he keeps asking to go to the Ohio Holiday Inn.. It is easier on him since he only saw my Mom a few times a year but he sees my MIL often and she has always been a constant in his life. Sorry this is so long but she is so much on my mind and heart. Guest guest
I'm so sorry Kellie. Diabetes is a terrible condition. My dad had diabetes, which lead to his kidney failure, dialysis, etc. Last year, he had a proceedure done, where the hospital had to give him general anesthesia (which I had to consent to), but never woke up. He stayed in a coma and was put on life support. My sister decided to take him off life support a couple months later, because she thought he was suffering. It was really sad. My suggestion is to prepare your kids now. There are picture books for kids, dealing with the subject. That would be a good place to start. Guest guest
My MIL is doing better. She is awake and she even sat up in a chair this afternoon. I have the kids making her special cards for my husband to drop off tomorrow. Thank you all for your prayers. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she recovers from this surgery.
