OK, I just wasted an hour writing a very detailed web post all about tinctures

and pickles and Yahoo LOST it. I will learn to write in notepad and then post.

So, about the pickled garlic. If you eat the garlic, it is a pickle, but if you

drink the juice then it is a tincture.

Kimshee is raw veggies that are soaked in chili pepper powder and aged

pickles are beggies soaked in vinegar, and most of them are canned, that kills

all the good everything. Raw pickles retain all the good.

I have made many tinctures in ethyl alcohol and glycerine, I use them

constantly. Tincueres are very expensive to buy and I have invest a sum in

mine, but I get a quart for what you can buy an ounce.

I use willow bark tincture for pain

I use hops, valerian root and passion flower to help me sleep if I am all keyed

up.

I use milk thistle, dandelion root and turmeric to aide in digestion.

I use cayenne, garlic, ginger tincture to aide in circulation.

But my most favorite tincture is my Kava root, I take it anytime I feel off, or

out of sorts because it makes me feel good.

I got tired of having my ginger go bad on me so I went looking for a way to

keep it and found a recipe for raw ginger pickles. I cut the ginger up in the

size I like in my juice and poured white rice vinegar over it and tinctured it,

but I would never have thought to drink the juice itself.

As soon as I have time I am going to prepare a jar of garlic and pour vinegar on

it and see how well it keeps and IF the garlic pickles help my digestion~!~!~!

I have tried raw garlic in my juices and it really upsets my tummy. But cooked

garlic sets well for me. I cannot wait to see what the fermented garlic and

juice does for or to me, hahahaha

Suz, gonna try the web post again but keep a copy just in case
