Guest guest
Hi all, I think I will be buying some sprouting supplies sometime during the next two weeks. I have never actually done sprouting before, but have been reading up on it, watching videos and trying to learn as much as possible, but before I invest any money in it, I have a question. I read on the sproutpeople.org website that sprouts need certain temps to grow. How important is that? The reason I ask is that in order to save money, I don't ever turn on my heater or my air conditioner. I live in Central California and in summer it can reach temps to around 110F here and in the winter it doesn't snow, but it can get quite cold. Will that keep my sprouts from growing properly? I do turn on the swamp cooler in the hottest parts of the summer, but that mostly cools the living room and only just slightly and I would be growing my sprouts in the kitchen. Thanks for any input on this.
